First Alert Slim Photoelectric Smoke Detector Alarm with 10-Year Sealed Battery, model PR710 on sale for $14.99 at Amazon. Seems pretty near an all-time low price, normally runs around $25 each.

Note: limit 6 per person. (Which I thought a bit of a bummer, as I'm due to replace 8 in my house and couldn't quite do it on this deal, but fair enough.)

Minor note: while I don't love the disposable nature of the batteries in these, smoke detectors need to be replaced every 10 years anyway, so this case use of a disposable battery makes some sense.

I've been running First Alert detectors with AA batteries for a while now, and each time the batteries run low (about once a year) they invariably start sounding the chirping low-battery alarm around 3am each and every time, of course waking up the whole house. Will be nice to not have to worry about that for the next decade!

I see the three pack is selling for 29.99. Better deal?

Edit: Correction, It's pr700. Uses 9v batteries.

Really? Where? That would indeed be a better deal, but I don't see it on Amazon.

I think you're looking at the 3 pack of PR700 which use 9V batteries, not a sealed battery
