No thanks. If you're going to keep this (I've had my surface pro 3 for almost 5 years), don't hamstring it with only 8gb ram.
Future proof and get at least 16 gb ram.
But I HIGHLY recommend the surface line (except Go).
the surface laptop 3 has TONS of documented hardware issues
Google Surface Laptop forums and the subreddit on Reddit and you can read thread after thread of people getting their laptop replaced over and over by Microsoft
you have a 2013 Macbook Pro - im not sure of the size if its 13 or 15 but if you need a laptop right at this moment your best bet is one of the new M1 Macbooks either the Air (which has been on sale for $800 or $899 with educational discount) or waiting on the updated 14/16" with MicroLED that Apple is due to release this year
the M1 laptops run Windows only programs in Parallels more efficiently than Windows ultrabooks - it's been tested - the silicon in these laptops are the next step in home computing its that good
i heavily researched this laptop and used my friends for a few weeks while he was away for work, its not worth the price, simple as that
ended up getting a 16" Macbook Pro and couldnt be happier with the super large and bright screen and the loudest speakers and largest trackpad on any laptop for sale right now
