I bought these cameras in the past (without the solar panel) and they were super simple to setup. I initially wanted to set it outside but didn't want to go through drilling any holes or anything. Night vision works great, battery for me without a solar panel lasts for maybe 2 months depending on how much activity you get (coming and leaving home everyday through the front door for me with about 2-3 people doing the same on weekdays), though I'd imagine you wouldn't need to charge it with the solar panel giving it power. Phone app provides notifications when it detects any activity and you can review all saved videos through the app as well.
Since this is only one device reolink has a free plan that allows you to store footage to their cloud for up to 7 days (they have a storage limit but I haven't ever hit that yet..). Free plan only allows for one device though so if you ever want to get another you'll need to upgrade. These do allow for a microsd card storage but can't record to a different server if you have a NAS or anything. The free tier also only lasts 90 days so every 90 days it expires and tells me to resubscribe to the free tier for whatever reason. Otherwise these work great.

The free plan only allows 7 days of cloud video history not 30 days and 1GB of cloud storage.
Been using the first generation for 4 years. Works great and I can pull up videos stored locally on the SD card. The 1 star haters probably have shit routers that are way too far away from the camera. I had poor connection speeds initially, bought a Mesh Wifi and suddenly the cameras all worked way better than the original singlular old router. (I use three google wifi pucks now.)

Did you mean that this camera CAN record to a NAS? I had a QNAP NAS and want to store my videos locally.
The cameras are decent for what they cost. Night vision is ok. Be aware that from the app there's no way to program the camera to record full time, only when it detects motion. If you want full time recording you need to install Reolink's camera management program on your computer.
These are great, simple, easy to use and reliable. Would highly recommend for a quick and inexpensive home cam. I use a Reolink system at my house and haven't had any issues in the 4 years.
