I am done ordering coffee via Amazon. I wind up getting coffee a month from expiration time after time. I'll pay little more to get fresh ones.
This is a great coffee that we use for espresso shots. I am amazed that this is the third time in a month it has been between $9-11 for the 2.2 lb Super Crema bag. I would not hesitant to purchase but I already have a supply.
Remember these are roasted in Italy. This means they will be shipped on a boat for a month before making it here. I'm sure they have this figured out so it stays fresh as long as possible for taste.

Great price. I always worry that Amazon does these discount coupons when they need to get rid of stock that's expiring soon. My S&S won't arrive until the end of March so who knows.

I bought the beans from the last deal (3/$27) and just looked at the date: says manufactured 4/2020 so they're almost a year old. A little older than I would prefer. We'll see how they taste.

I ordered this from Amazon, last time a good deal came up. The coffee roast date was almost a year old. This coffee seems to have a shelf date of 2 years according to the two dates on the bag. However, I can't imagine the taste is great after a couple months after the roast date. There are plenty of reviews stating the Amazon bags have a bitter taste and I experienced the same. I usually buy directly from Lavazza, when they have sales, so I know what it's supposed to taste like.

WOW, that's sad coffee. Beans begin to stale immediately after roasting, so within a month is the time frame you're shooting for to grind them. This is why it's always best to go with a local roaster since the bags will be normally within a month or even that day. This is all of course if you're deep in the coffee hole with a quality grinder, prosumer level machine to boot. Otherwise, most people won't care.

Still, over a year is just trash at that point.

It's a gamble....
Some people have told me that they have always received fresh coffee and if they didn't Amazon would reship or refund.

I always get skunk coffee and as far as returning or asking for a refund. If you do too many returns on Amazon.
They have been know to terminate accounts.

whew, thanks for alerts! just ran out of this and the espresso. I actually setup a subscribe and save a few days ago when the bags were $21 but with 20 or 25% off .. both Super Crema and Espresso Italiano are cheaper as of right now. Even better if you can get 5 items for the extra discount
