Origins was awesome! Odyssey is awesome! Currently over 100 hours in Odyssey and still so much to do... Haven't even touched DLCs yet.
I'm way behind on purpose. I wait for the Gold versions to be like $20-$25. If a game doesn't have online, then there is no reason for me to buy a game at launch. I don't have money for $60-$70 games. Especially if they're buggy, not finished, or short. The last three Assassins Creeds are none of those and worth full price, but I will wait for complete packages on the cheap.
Is it just me or was Valhalla quite disappointing? I played for 2 hours without feeling any kind of connection with the game, or the characters. In the end I asked for a refund and they gave it. I had even sprung for the Ultimate edition.
on the other hand I LOVED Origins, and like Odyssey.

To each their own, but I'd have to say its you, I'm loving this game atm. In all fairness I haven't played an AC since black flag tho. In fact I really only played madden/the show for almost 3 years until November when I finally finished rdr2 and went onto the last of us 2. Some awesome epic games out there for me to catch up on.
Tempted to go get Odyssey but I'm hearing rumors of Ubi+ coming to gamepass this year and combined with when I'll get to playing it, I might as well hold off.

I have over 100 hours in each of the last 3 AC games and I concur with you in general about Valhalla. It is definitely a solid experience but I wasn't overly enamoured with Eivor as the protagonist. I played the female version and I found her to be lacking in personality. Not sure if it was the voice actor or just the writing. As far as missions, collectables, etc. it is a very good AC game. I just think it is inferior to the previous 2. I consider Kassandra to be one of the very best assassins in terms of skill, personality, and just overall fun enjoyment. Bayek as well. So it's asking a lot for them to keep coming up with well-written and compelling assassins.
It's funny, I replayed Black Flag right after Valhalla. It's a better game. Better story. It was less hours, too. These newer games are all massive. They don't need to be.
The Ezio Collection for $11.99 is a great price for 3 amazing games especially if you've never played them. They're not as long as some of the newer AC games, but story-wise they're my 3 favorite games of the series. Thanks OP

Agreed. Though I got lucky in 2018 and bought Ezio Collection (PC) for $4.2 directly on uPlay...... For average $1.4 per game it was absolutely worth it. Many hours of fun for $4.2, really.
Wondering if I should bite on the Ezio collection for $12.
On the one had I don't think I'll start playing them anytime soon, so can afford to wait. On the other hand if this is a rare price and isn't going to come around again soon (or go lower), then I should snatch it up.
(For background - I started the series with Black Flag, liked it alot, like Unity but oh my God it's huge. Haven't played syndicate yet. Played Odyssey a bit over a Game Pass free play weekend and was completely non-plussed. It was ok but bland, and didn't feel like than AC game.)

I completed Origins and loved it, probably because I hadn't played RPGs and this was my first exposure to the genre. Also the story was not too long to be bored.
Odyssey was very long and I got bored because it felt like I was rinsing and repeating the same thing over and over again.
I will wait for Valhalla to drop around the teens range to pull the trigger
Ive never played Assassin's Creed. If I was going to pick up one game (or bundle), what do you recommend. Not considering the newest and more expensive ones.

Yes, the Ezio Collection is fantastic. Yes, it's a great price.
But NO, you will never play it. It will sit there for eternity.
