I think I excluded this one in my search in the past because of the stand, as I have a monitor arm and it supports 18 pounds (so OP's one is right on the limit)

This is 22.7 pounds, has a black housing and extra $ for the ergo stand I don't really need.

Camel shows it's low was $596.99 https://urlhasbeenblocked/product/B08BCR862L
$550 was from Costco.

Just bought it! Was able to price match at best buy and use some CC rewards (5% gift card cash back @ discover), cost $437 in rewards and ~$5 in real money. Can't wait to program on this guy.

Ah gotcha.

I'm a little on the fence since my HP 27" IPS 1440p works well, so thinking I'll keep waiting for the 32" 4K IPS models with USB-C to be more prevalent this year

Maybe you're young, but most of us were gaming at 60Hz just fine, for decades. Higher refresh rates aren't necessary for most people.

For me if im playing competitive first person shooter games that higher Hz does make a difference but I barely play those and even when I do im more chilling so 60Hz is more than enough. Also unless you spend $2-3k or more on your PC you will have a hard time getting high FPS on a competitive games. If you are spending that kind of money on your PC you wouldnt be here looking for a deal on a monitor lol. Just buy the new USB-C 144hz 4k monitors.

I bought this monitor a few weeks ago from Best Buy. I took my receipt in today and they gave me the price match.

I think the monitor is great. I'm a CPA so I use it for tax software, Excel, etc. along with watching YouTube, Xfinity, etc. I hooked up a Roku to the 2nd HDMI input and that works very well. Text is super crisp. I set Windows 10 to 200% scaling and it works perfect (anything smaller is too small for me). 4k video from YouTube looks great. Despite being an IPS panel, contrast looks absolutely fine. Viewing angles are superb.

The stand is very good too as it's easy to adjust height which is important for a monitor of this size.

Before I bought this, I actually tried 2 different 4k tvs out for monitor usage. I had bought a Samsung 32QR60 for around $399 and a Sony 43X800H for $398 (rated fantastic to use as a PC monitor). I ended up returning both. I liked the Sony better as the text looked sharper but there was an annoying input lag using the mouse which would come and go (the TV was always in the proper mode for PC use). Also, 43 inches is massive for a monitor viewed from around 3 feet away. My neck was getting sore from looking up to the top of the monitor. Side to side was fine, top to bottom was difficult to live with.

Regarding the Samsung, it just doesn't look as good as the LG IPS monitor. Video quality was probably a bit better on the Samsung as it has a slightly glossy screen with a drop better contrast but for everyday work, I much prefer the LG. Text is rendered clearer and darker on the LG no matter what angle you're looking at on the screen. In addition, with the Roku, it fares well for secondary TV usage (although I wish the Roku could control the volume of the built in LG speakers but it can't). I've watched a couple of NBA games and a couple of movies and it's all very good. No complaints using this as a TV (while sitting at my desk).

If you're looking for a 32 inch 4K IPS monitor, they really don't come much cheaper than the current price of $440. Not cheap by any means but a still a good value for a very high quality monitor.

Thank you.

Somewhere along the line the monitor refresh / fps craze got way out of control. 60 fps is very fluid for the vast majority of games. 100 is nice for some things but mostly for competitive fps. Anything over 100 is not going to be noticed.

If you don't mind and want to save $4-50, you can also choose "used-very good" or "used-good" but remember pick the ones from amazon warehouse. In my experience, good only refers to if original package was damaged. Plus, my "used" one only has like 50 hours on it.

Yes, the difference between 60 and 144 fps is significant and so is 100 and 144. You will definitely notice dramatic changes to gameplay when the frame drops to ~100 while playing on 144hz monitors.

So it's pretty much 144/240 or bust when it comes to competitive first-person shooters like CS:GO, Valorant, or Overwatch to name a few.

Lol, no. I have both. 60 to 100 is noticable but not terribly significant - both of them feel plenty fluid. 100 to 144 is neither significant nor noticable. But whatever makes you feel better.

See the link. The data I've seen says you are incorrect.

Slightly better at hitting a target doesn't mean anything. That video says zero about how noticable the difference is to the gaming experience. Drinking some coffee will make me better at hitting a target too - but it doesn't make the games any more fun or fluid to play.

Not curved. Curved isn't needed for ips screens unless it's ultra wide, which this is not.
