I'm looking for similar over-the-ear buds like these. I want quality. However, I prefer a more appealing brand (not BOSE or BEATS) than Plantronics. I currently have the $40 refurb Jabras which sound amazing. However, I don't like how they slowly slip out while working out at the gym, having to constantly place it back in. I even purchased aftermarket foam tips. They didn't really help.

I have a pair of some generic Chinese no-name brand over-the-earbuds that fit amazing and are perfect for the gym but they sound terrible and the battery last about 2 hrs at most.

Any other recommendations???

Try JLab epic air sports. I have a few jLab headphones and recently got these for the wife (on sale for $50). They seem pretty comfortable and are very secure.

Not a similar product.

The JLAudio seals off the ear canal. The Plantronics do not.

There is a small crowd (mainly runners) who just don't like the seal. The seal generally provides a better sound quality. However, much, much, more difficult to hear outside nosies. And many outdoor runners want to hear cars, dogs, people etc, while still hearing music.

I have the original of these. They aren't great for gym use as they don't get extremely loud and u can hear weights being dropped and gym music. But for outdoor running, love. Can hear music but still cars, dogs and stuff.

Now mine are finicky as to cord I use to charge case. But other than that, I like them. Might be time for the new model.

I used some of their previous buds and was looking forward to these being announced a couple years ago. Then I saw Micro-usb and it was a hard pass. Even many $50 buds were using USB C.

It's too bad most of the review websites are skewed by affiliate link profits. Notice how they are linking to Amazon for almost every product reviewed. If you want to find a truthful review, look for one without affiliate links.

I've been using these for over a year. Here's my mini review.

Pros:
1) The soft "hooks" give them a great fit and they're super stable and comfortable to wear for long runs/workouts.
2) Bluetooth connection is very stable
3) You can use either earphone by itself (surprisingly many earbuds don't do this, including the brand new Bose "sport open earbuds"), or use both
4) You can clearly hear noise around you since the earbuds don't plug up your ear canal completely. This might be a con depending on your use case, but it's what the 3150s are designed for. The 3200s are the full sound isolation variant.

Cons:
1) Charges by Micro USB (sigh) and no wireless charging for the case.
2) Battery life is only so-so (4 hours-ish) but the case provides another charge or two.
3) The case is fairly big because of the ear hook design.
4) Max volume is pretty low, so don't expect to hear super clear music when working out in a noisy gym or running alongside busy roads. I could never get it loud enough to be able to listen to audiobooks while running along busy roads.

I've never used them for phone calls so I can't speak to that. Overall, they're good earbuds for runners or for anyone who needs to hear their surroundings while listening to music. At this price I think they're a really decent deal. I had Galaxy Buds+ before these and loved the sound quality but they wouldn't stay in my ears while running. I'll never trust another earbud that doesn't have an over-the-ear hook for stability while working out.
