I see this in my SimplyCash Plus Business Card.

DETAILS

Get a one-time $25 statement credit by using your enrolled Business Card to spend a minimum of $100 in one or more eligible transactions in-store at Staples or online at Staples.com by 5/23/2021. See terms for exclusions.

Offer Terms

Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Business Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid in-store, via the Staples mobile app and online at Staples.com. Valid at participating locations in US. Not valid on purchases shipped outside of the US. Valid on US website only. Excludes Quill, Smilemaker, Staples Advantage, Staples 4 Government, Staples Toner Services, Staples Technology Solutions, Staples Promotional Products, Staples Print Solutions, Copy and Printing Services, Staples Contract and Commercial, Staples App Center, Staples Industrial, Staples Book Rental, Staples Simplexity, Staples Share Fund, Coastwide Labs, Catalog and Staples Fundraising. Not valid for gift cards in bulk purchases. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of 1 statement credit per Card Member. The enrolled Card account must not be cancelled or past due to receive statement credit. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 5/23/2021, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items from your qualifying purchase have been provided/shipped by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. POID: K1TH:0001

Did Not read the Business Card part. Just went through my 3 personal cards twice figuring "it's gotta be there on One of these!" Palm to face.

Regular cashiers can ring up $2K on their own. Some stores have different policies where a cashier will call a supervisor over for any amount. If you are specifically talking about the visa deal next week, the limit is 5 but that is not register enforced. Usually just employee enforced.

Why can you only buy gift cards in-store? Do Staples.com purchases of gift cards not trigger the Amex promo?

Who said you can't? Most of the discussion for in-store GC's because they have fee free visas starting tomorrow in-store. If you want to buy a visa GC online, you can. It will just have a $5-$9 fee per card.

Thanks! I'm just getting an eBay one. I typically can't find them on sale so it's almost like a visa card for me.

Keep on eye, in the past personal cards would start seeing it a bit later, second round.

Merci. Had the $25 staples AND the $25 back for over $500 offers on 3 of my AMEX business cards. These cards get 5% back in "Office Supply" category already.

Bought 3 gift cards on each of the 3 cards. Math (hopefully):

* $600 charged on each credit card
* $25 back on >$100 transaction from Staples AMEX offer
* $25 back on net purchase of $500 from AMEX offer
* $30 back from "office supply" category (based on $600)

NET COST for $600 in gift cards is $600-25-25-30=$520

With 3 cards, that's $240 rebated to us.

(...now, how to pay this bill off...)

We buy money orders and use that money order to pay off credit card. Fee for money order is $0.89.

Was hoping to get an Amazon gift card but looks like Staples doesn't carry them. Might have to just go with the fee free Visa instead
