I've owned the first version (not the II) of this motherboard for a year now and it's been rock solid. I had no problem getting my memory to run at its rated 3200mhz speed in the bios. This motherboard also will support the Ryzen 5000 chips after a bios update.

not a fan of the single M.2, and prefer to have the PCIe x1 slot over the x16 so that you can add a wireless card if needed and not interfere with a GPU, like the ASRock B450M PRO4 and Steel Legend B450M

Has PS/2 connector in back. wow havent seen one of them in a while. Maybe rock a 90's keyboard with a 2020's RGB usb mouse
You probably dont look at a lot of motherboards then. Lots of motherboards have a PS/2 connector. I actually use it for my keyboard. (MSI B450 tomahawk max)

It's been so long since i used a ps2 that, at first, I thought you meant it has a Playstation2 connector. In my defense, i had just woken up.

Are you sure after bios update it's can support Ryzen 5000 chips?

Asus website comparability list confirms. Bigger question is can you update the bios via USB without a CPU?

This won't work with 4000 or upcoming 5000 APUs, right?

You can plug a PCI x1 card in a x16 slot ya know. Unless I am misunderstanding you.

No idea, sorry! I have a Ryzen 5 1600 running fine in it already so I hadn't considered that situation.

Looking around Google, it looks like this board does not have USB flashback, so you must have a CPU, RAM, inserted to update BIOS.
