There have been many posts for generators. From April 24 – 26, 2021 Texas has a "EMERGENCY PREPARATION SUPPLIES SALES TAX HOLIDAY" which means you don't have to pay taxes on things like generators (Up to $3,000). It might be worth holding off on your generator purchase until then.

Wonder if this will apply to battery 'generator' type products (Goal Zero type stuff)

In the "Less than $75" category they list "Mobile telephone batteries and mobile telephone chargers". So something like Goal Zero Power Station is not going to be included.

Frequently with sales tax holidays stores jack up the price, will be interesting to see how this works out. They may be trying to dump generators by April, but who knows. OP thanks for the post

I've been wanting something that can run at least one of my central A/C units. The biggest requirement is the startup needs for A/C. There is a device that you can install that will greatly reduce (up to 50%) your A/C's startup power needs:

Which is what they should call themselves. Because they aren't generators
