Varies by store. I picked up one unit at a store yesterday; Had checked another store nearer to me, but they didn't have stock on hand.

Yes, I bought one and paid in full at a Xfinity store. I was able to unlock the next day by chatting with Xfinity Mobile support and explaining to them that the phone was fully paid. The rep sent an unlock over the air and I was able to pop in a Verizon SIM with another number immediately.

This or wait for Pixel 5a, I hate switching phones. Using my 3 XL 128GB which is fine for now, just wish Google would get their $#@! together and release 256/512 versions.

I really like my 4a 5g, and I paid about $350 for it. If your 3xl has battery issues I'd jump on this.

I used one of these for a short while and it was fine. Ended up selling it to family... But honestly, if your phone works - just keep it. There are probably apps or cloud storage like options that would help you migrate contacts and other things. Not sure if there's a way to batch download apps to a new phone though.

I'm on a pixel 2, but it randomly turns off sometimes... So I may jump on this. Can't really risk having a possibly dead for good phone when I need to use GPS especially

edit: I definitely understand the want for built in larger storage, but maybe you're better off just getting some Motorola phone or something that has expandable storage via microsd

edit 2: if it's true it's not as compatible for Tmobile, then maybe it's not so slick of a deal. Mint Mobile provides some of the cheapest phone plan options

A minimum of 60 days must have passed since you activated the phone.

basically buy the phone, choose by the gig, use call and text to show usage, keep the phone in drawer and request unlock in 60 days. works for me.

I can't create a Xfinity Mobile account.
Is it a prerequisite that you must be an Xfinity customer? And therefore be subscribed to their broadband internet service?
