Varies by store. I picked up one unit at a store yesterday; Had checked another store nearer to me, but they didn't have stock on hand.

Yes, I bought one and paid in full at a Xfinity store. I was able to unlock the next day by chatting with Xfinity Mobile support and explaining to them that the phone was fully paid. The rep sent an unlock over the air and I was able to pop in a Verizon SIM with another number immediately.

This or wait for Pixel 5a, I hate switching phones. Using my 3 XL 128GB which is fine for now, just wish Google would get their $#@! together and release 256/512 versions.
Wait for the Pixel 6... rumor is that it will get a new camera sensor

Ok thanks for the info. I'm on wifi most of the time anyway and rarely use data so I might as well save the $3.00 per month, lol. I'm still rocking the LG phone I got for $1.00 from XM going on (4) years ago when they first launched. It hasn't gotten updates in quite sometime so this will be a bit of an upgrade for me.

Thinking I might port over an elderly relatives number too from Cricket and just put her on my acct. She uses no data and is spending $30 per month at Cricket.
Do it mate. Good deed for the day while slickdeal ing.

I have a Pixel 3A XL on Xfinity Mobile, I pay ~$13 a month since I am on WiFi most of the time, I seem to remember the tech reviewers on YouTube had issues with the Pixel 4, can anyone speak about that?

Is this a good deal? Seems to be with no bill credits to deal with, etc.

So we would be able to port over a number to this if we wanted to?

Also do you know if you have to have a 5g XM plan? I'm grandfathered in on the old plan. Not sure if I could keep that plan with this phone or not? I thought I read that this isn't any faster than 4G as it's not the UW 5G?

Thanks,

-Guru
Grandfathered in to what plan? Didn't they do away with all the 100mb free plans? *Sighs* I miss my $2 monthly bill

I have a bad feeling that it won't be fully compatible with t-mobile. I had a bad experience using att phone and tmobile, and this might be the same thing.

Does anyone know how it would work if I ordered this phone and wanted to port over a number from Cricket? I would be adding the number from Cricket to my existing XM account. It looks like when I log into my XM account it will ask me about transferring over a number. If I enter that info online does that process start happening immediately or will I initiate the port once I receive the phone? This would be for an elderly relative and I would have to go to her to switch out the phones, etc?

Just wondering how the XM port process works?

Thanks,

-Guru
I haven't used Xfinity, but porting should be the same for (almost) all carriers: the porting process starts once you have the phone and go through the activation process. The info you put in when ordering may be validated then (to validate the number is eligible for the promo and service) but won't go through until you get the phone; otherwise you'd be without an active number while the phone was being shipped :-)

Transferring to the new phone usually isn't a problem, as long as you save your contacts, photos, etc into you Google account, especially since Google also provides a cable and adapter to physically connect the old phone to the new one and grab the important files. Still, I usually handle it for my folks and MIL.

Scroll down to the bottom and notice the variants on the Verizon model and notice band N41 is supposedly missing. DOA if you have T-Mobile. I was going to buy and use it for T-Mobile until I saw that. Avoid this deal if you're planning on using it with T-Mobile if phonearena is correct.

For those who can't find it. Non Verizon version.

Verizon version (Also Xfinity version).
