But managing time is harder than rocket science. Wife and I use this at home to make tea as do not want to leave a pot of water boiling all day. This is much safer easier when time is money
Do not have this exact mode but have another and works so well
It boils water and keeps it hot so you have instant hot water. Very convenient if you brew tea or coffee through out the day. Good for frequent tea drinkers and large groups. Or those that want instant hot water on tap.
It's overkill for those that don't use much hot water, for example if you just brew tea or coffee once a day.
We've had our Zojirushi for about 10 years now.
wow, these caves are really nice! but, I'm claustrophobic, so I don't think I can stay in some of these.
It sounds insane, but it's truly an amazing convenience. i drink a lot of tea, my wife likes her ramen and hot chocolate. being able to get these things together immediately throughout the day (i have probably 3 big cups a day) is a big time saver. it's one less trip to the kitchen (to start the boiling) per instance.
when you're constantly on calls or dealing with other aspects of life, that really adds up. not just the extra trip but the need for that secondary trip to be _timed_. "oh the water's boiling but now i can't get off the call, or i need to change a diaper" etc...
all that being said, zojirushi makes great stuff.

We use hot water to cook a lot of things, oatmeal, noodles, vegetables, soups, ... no reason not to start with really hot water from the boiler.
