Awesome, I've been waiting for this deal to happen again at Costco.

Some electric utilities have rebates for energy efficient air cleaners. For example, Silicon Valley Power (Santa Clara, CA) has a $75 rebate on up to 3 units, and this Winix C545 model is on the Energy Star list [energystar.gov] with >150cfm so it qualifies for the full $75 rebate each: https://www.siliconvalleypower.co...t?id=41992

That's a net cost of just $25 per air purifier!
I have had this since the last sale

Filters are hard to get cheap, not a lot of 3rd party, though compatible with different version I think S, if this is S then maybe C , cant keep them straight
I hate that it has no remote, and you cant add a remote, only option is to use app
No auto off after specific time
Given COVID , I wish I had one with a UV light
Note that 3rd party filters were hard to find last year (Type S), but now there are many offerings:

These work well. When COVID first hit we bought one of these for all the bedrooms, and living room and den. These work. My son no longer gets allergies. Wife and I used to have sinus pain in the mornings, that's gone. I dust the blinds and ceiling fans much less if at all now.
These lasted 10 months before the said I need a new HEPA filter. Around the same time I had 1 break. Costco took it back and gave me a refund. I bought 3 more and used the filters to to replace my dirty ones. When I bought them last March, they only had 1 set. Now it's almost a better deal to buy a new Winix just for the filters. I have 2 new units in my garage without filters. A 1 year filter set is typically $45, or this deal with 2 years and a new unit for $100. You decide

I own 2. I find it annoying that plasmawave comes on when you turn on the appliance and you can only turn off the plasmawave from the app.

Press two buttons right under it (I think they are up and down buttons) together for three seconds.

Ugh, I just bought 3x of the C535 a couple weeks ago for $120 each. Always a better deal after I jump. Besides the app remote, what's the difference between the two?

Those are superior to this. They cheaped out majorly on these.
The front panel mechanism is cheap, the fan is cheaper, and it's just a general downgrade.

What exactly are the differences between C535 and C545?

Was waiting for this deal to return. New rental home has some real dusty ducts and I wake up congested most mornings.

Just ordered one and I'll submit for a price match when it goes on sale in a couple weeks.

UV lights in air purifiers don't do much. The UV light needs a lot more time to kill anything that's in the air. The air moved too fast through the machine for it to do much.

I still like my c535 better: remote, cheaper filters, easier to clean, more reliable according to many reviews.

If you hold both arrow buttons at the same time plasmawave turns on/off

I have two of these and may get a third. Honestly the light will turn red when I pass gas in the same room. You can't sneak one past them. Regardless of this uncanny detection, the air in the house does smell fresher and seems to cut down on allergies.

535 is better IMHO. Filters are standard size and much cheaper.

I had this but returned it. Costco doesn't sell it's filters and the filtration power is not good.

Also, to kill Covid, you need a purifier that has UVC.
