I found a BT DAC that supports AptX-LL, AptX-HD and LDAC among others. I need a transmitter for my laptop that will transmit those standards.

It is the sound-sending device's responsibility to control volume.

I paired my phone to this and when I connect to it via Bluetooth, my phone's volume up/down buttons control the volume.
I'm not sure what you mean. This is a Bluetooth audio transmitter, not receiver so when using it with your phone it would have to be wired not "paired" via Bluetooth but anyways people in the reviews are saying when connected with a TV you need to use PCM audio and controlling the audio levels through the television itself doesn't do anything.

I cant find it but I know there was just a 1Mii box like this with a blue circle on top but maybe not with AptX for $12 and change. I wanted to get it to connect to the Prozor $15 DAC but I can't find it on SD.
I think this what you're looking for, but its not $12 anymore. I bought one last time it was on sale, and use it to stream to my headphone amp from my phone. Works great.

FIIO makes the BTA 30 which will transmit those codecs. I think it has a built in limitation of not transmitting LDAC when usb c connection is used though. Something to keep in mind for your use case.

Thanks, I was looking at that last night. It's 3 or 3.0 not 30, right? There's also a BTA5. I think one reviewer said he got a hum from it.

I saw some no name $30-something devices on eBay too. I'm thinking two of the FIIO BTA3's or one and one Topping BC3 would work.

I don't have USB-C. I will someday. It's odd that USB-C makes it NOT work in LDAC.

Haven't looked much into these devices.

Any reason why the OP is better than something like the one below, which can be a receiver as well, in addition to being a BT transmitter?

https://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics...B01EHSX28M
That lacks hd/low latency codecs

Mind you your headphones need to support as well for it to work.

Decent price on a pc sound card solution. But likely not class 1 transmitter range like avantree dg60

*never mind looking at the Q&A it looks like the usb is only for power, not a true soundcard

If you have wireless headphones you can connect to this device to give you lossless audio, so if you connect this thing to your TV you can listen to it with wireless headphones. Hope that made some sense. Also, some headphones may not work with this device, like the AirPods.
Bluetooth, even with the best codecs that claim to be lossless, is not lossless and probably will never be.

can conveniently enable your TV, PC, CD player, projector and other home audio source devices for streaming high definition stereo to your Bluetooth headphones or speakers.
Could you please tell me how to pair this device with a headphone? As far as I can see, neither this device nor the headphone do have a screen to make a selection (need a screen to select the bluetooth source....right?)

1. Put your headphone in pairing mode
2. Quick press Pairing button 1...flashes red/blue, automatically pairs.
(to pair 2nd device, quick press pairing button 2)
3. After they are paired, when you power on both devices they will auto connect.
4. Factory Reset (to forget all previous pairings) by holding both pairing buttons down for 5 sec.

Instruction Manual Here. [media-amazon.com]

OK. So this device "blindly" pairs with any bluetooth device (when the other BT device is in the pairing mode)?

Yes, nearly all external Bluetooth transmitters work this way.

I live in a high-rise where I suppose there is a higher risk of conflict, but it works fine for me (different model transmitter but same principle). If it somehow pairs with the wrong device, hitting the pair button starts it searching again for a different choice.

Thanks! Did not know that.....thought needed a screen (to visually select) in one of the two BT devices for pairing.
