Weird, no open box option. Could be as low as $620 if open box was available.

How is this not getting more attention? This is spec'd similar to a 2021 LG Gram that costs $1500.

The Gram has 16gb RAM instead of 12 but it doesn't have a touchscreen or 2-in-1 like this deal. The 2-in-1 Gram starts at $1700.

Sure the Gram is lighter at 2.2lbs instead of 3lbs but that hardly seems worth $700 more. The battery life is similar in tests as well (about 9-10hrs of normal usage).

Am I missing something?

I have the same question too. I have not seen an Intel Evo certified laptop in the sub-800 range. This seems like a pretty good deal. I would be interested if the ram could be upgraded. 12GB is just not enough.

Ram is soldered. I have the previous gen of this laptop and like it a lot. A top "prosumer" value in laptops

I bought the 7i 15.6" instead of 14" and 10th gen i5 with 8GB ram and looked exactly like this one. Build quality was very nice, although the hinge made some noise.

However after less than a month, it started to having display flickering issues, office word not working well, and chrome being stuck or unable to click the page.
Not sure if I just had the defect model but obviously BestBuy's holiday return policy ends when something breaks.
After a long line hold on Lenovo customer service, the only thing they suggested was to hard reset or sending it back to them.

I personally would never get another Lenovo unless it's a very popular and high-end model like 720 or ThinkPad.

Just a personal experience I wanted to share with you since you were wondering why it would be so cheap.

I agree specs are great, but Intel graphics are not very remarkable.

You wouldn't be shopping for an ultra thin and light Intel "Evo" certified laptop for gaming. This price is much lower than others in this category with the same graphics.

Maybe it's just Lenovo's reputation makes this not as desirable as LG or Dell? The reviews for this arent bad at all and I don't see complaints about the build quality other than the keyboard being lackluster.

How does this compare with the xps 13 for 899$ on dell.com?
It has 16GB instead of 12GB. How do they compare when it comes to performance and the build quality?

Compare this with the $599 deal on Amazon over the holidays (no longer avail):
Lenovo Flex 5 14" 2-in-1 w/AMD Ryzen 5 4500U, 16GB DDR4, 256GB SSD w/Digital Pen Included

Compare this with the $749 deal on Costco (still avail, add 5% if not a member);
Lenovo Flex 5 14" 2-in-1 w/AMD Ryzen 7 4700U, 16GB DDR4, 512GB SSD
Those have last gen chips and only 52Wh battery. This is the latest gen with significantly better single core performance and much larger battery.

Quit making these stupid comparison logics - because it seriously misleads the general consumer. That's like me saying my 2018 Honda Accord is just as luxurious as an Acura TSX that costs $10K more because they both have an Inline-4 engine that comes from the same factory. Yes, it has the same Specs, but you can't compare the cheaper Flex line-up to the high-tiered Yoga 7-series (only one step down from the highest 9-series). Surprise - there are other components that adds to the cost of a laptop (e.g. better materials, better keyboard, better trackpad, better screen...all of which are found on the Yoga 7-series and can benefit the user-experience/productivity). If your income relies on a laptop, for me, it's a no-brainer to spend the little bit extra for a nicer laptop (what's ~$200 extra over the course of the lifetime of the laptop). When I do coding on my ancient Lenovo T440 that has a super dim 220-nit screen for instance, I get eyestrains within 10 minutes - giving me headaches - which affects my productivity; and thereby income. Viewing code on my new HP Envy that has a 400-nit screen on the other hand is pure joy and I simply don't want to stop working on that laptop.
