NM, just figured out it does... duh... no internal Wi-Fi kills it for me though.

I have separate modem and router because the combos seem to go out faster and like prior post states easier to update. This modem has worked great for me

At 100mbps, you probably wouldn't see any performance upgrades, but it really depends on how you use your system.

Yes, there are two Gigabit Ethernet ports with link aggregation support. So if you have gig internet, you should be able to get gig speeds.
