Am I missing something here, or is their main business based on purchases of hot brewed coffee or tea, Starbucks Reserve® beverages, or ready-to-drink beverages.
Yes. They sell food, merchandise and non caffeinated drinks. Quite a long ways from just selling coffee in 1971.

Yep, those are considered hand crafted, a barista needs to make it, just needs to be grande or larger

I always order a Venti iced drink without ice and then ask for a cup of ice. You can drink half and take the other half home and refrigerate for the next day. So about 4 iced Grande for the price of one Venti.
How do they make an Iced drink without Ice?
I'm tempted to try this but afraid my original drink won't be cold enough

Got an email from Starbucks entitled "Iced shaken espresso is here". It's about 3/4 of the way down the email. Preorder drink on 3/4 through Starbucks app and get a credit for a free drink from 3/10 to 3/12.

It shouldn't be targeted -- it should be valid for anyone who has or makes a SB rewards account. Just buy a drink on Thursday. Some people may have been expecting something to happen when you click "See Deal" so they got confused.

For those asking if a $10 Starbucks drink is possible - that's a child's play compared to this $83.75 concoction:

Most expensive one I made was like $7.30. I figure you could get to $10, but it would be hella nasty.
A true slickdealer would max out on shots and dilute it with water each day for the next week or so

Have you watched them make the drink? Most likely your drink is mostly water. There is a set limit amount of coffee they are supposed to put for each size and then top up with water.

Opened my Starbucks App, and didn't see anything on the Homepage, but the offer is in my Inbox. Weird, that I didn't receive an email, but I'll definitely partake! Thanks for the headsup!

Is it even possible to make a $10 drink as in the Terms and Conditions! ?
When something is *free*, you'd be surprised (or maybe not) at all the crap people will have thrown in a cup & then proceed to consume... well, or *attempt* to consume anyway...

I worked at a Starbucks years ago (& I did for about 5 years) & I had customers that would literally try to make the most expensive sh!t possible...they'd usually stop at around $20, & then (of course) ended up just getting tossed in the trash bc of how strong/gross whatever they got, ended up being.
Typically it was as many shots as we could fit into a cup for these fools (w/whatever syrups they could see & pronounce...or just a Frappuccino with tons shots & whatever tf else). 🤦🏻 ♀️🙄
