Will Wight is a great writer. I've read 3 of his Cradle series and they are excellent.

The Cradle series was excellent. Waiting for the 9 book now.

Hopefully, these ones are good too.

Currently unavailable for me😕. I'm too late for the party. Congrats to the lucky ones.

Edit: strangely, I tried the individual trilogies and they worked. Turned out that I already own them.

Dumb question: how are these meant to be read? The first book from each series at the same time or one series first and then the other?

One of my all time favorite authors and I read a LOT of Sci-Fi/Fantasy. The Elder Empires is my third favorite of his series but it is still an excellent read.

I would recommend reading the series in order but start with Calder's perspective in each one. So read Of Sea and Shadow and then Of Shadow and Sea. Then the next two and so on.

I've read all of his books and while these were probably my least favorite of his series' they are still good. I just didn't love that the books essentially break up the same story by POV so you basically know how one book will end if you read the other.
