Fantastic shoe. Just ran 9 miles in it this morning.

Deal is meh. I bought 3 pairs for $57 each on New Year's Eve, also from JackRabbit. Now that V11 is out, this one should be dropping to those kinds of deals more often.

It was probably linked with the previous Slickdeal around New Year's where there was a glitch with a JackRabbit promo code. The recent models haven't seen the amount of discounts that I got back with the v7 of these. Hopefully the v10s continue to come down, but if they are anything like the v8 or v9 series, the 1080s unfortunately don't get discounted too heavily outside of random sizes from my experience.

how's the fit? I find NB to be all over the places with their lastings - I run 10.5 in the Cruz v2 sockfit, but quit trying NB for anything else because I had to keep sending shoes back. FWIW, I'm a consistent 11 in Nike and Adidas, 10.5 in Air Jordan, 10 in Converse.

Thanks for any advice, really want to try these but not worth the hassle of returning if the fit is off.

It might be worth going to a local running store and giving them a test run to find the best fit, but I would think you should be good with going with the 10.5 that you have with the Cruz v2. I switched from Asics and went from a 10.5 down to a 10 in New Balance and it seems like online the general sentiment is that New Balance online is to size a half a size down (at least at the sizes you are looking at).

They fit tight at first but stretch out perfectly and feel true to size. The heel also feels weird but eventually you don't notice it.

The deal was posted here for $74 or something with a 30% off $105 code. Then someone provided a code in the comments for 50% off. I tried it, and it worked, so I ended up paying $53 + tax. Ordered 3 pairs. The code stopped working after a couple of hours.

Go to a local running store and try them on. For me, they are true to size, although they are typically pretty snug as most running shoes are.

I was measured at 10.5 but have been getting my shoes in 11 to give me a little extra room and they fit fine. Keep in mind that the upper material is very stretchy. It's almost like really thin neoprene. I'm liking it a lot. It's very cushioned. But I am disappointed in the outsole. I'm already seeing some flat spots in the usually wear areas but I only have 100 miles in them. I had a pair of Beacons that only has "rubber" in a couple small spots and I also shredded them in less than 200 miles. I thought the 1080s would be more durable since the outsole looked like it had more "rubber" coverage.

I hope you are suggesting that they buy from a store if they are tough to size... not just size, try and then buy online anyway. Which would be shady AF.

I went to the store and tried this out last week. I usually wear 8.5 Asics but found the 8 fit very well so i agree, maybe half a size down.
