The purpose of the mask is not to protect you as it is to protect me. Folks that have valves just push out your Covid germ sprays all over the place.
If you are sick and wear a mask with valve you just make it harder on everyone.
But the N95 is really the best mask to protect you for brief exposure periods.
Distance and Mask is the key. Elevators suck for that.
And if you hear someone sneeze, hold your breath and run. It takes 10K covid particles to get you sick. that happens in 20 minutes talking with no mask. A sneeze delivers 2-3 million particles in a few seconds.

As noted in the article, at least one counterfeit ring was able to distribute 10 million+ counterfeits.

I have tried various NIOSH approved (3m and other brands as well). I personally prefer folding flat respirators over the rigid hard mask as the folding flat is more comfortable. This folding flat respirator mask from 3M seems legit.

There are thousands of NIOSH N95 masks. Lot of people assume that 3M is the only company that makes good N95 masks but there are tons of other very high quality masks just as good and cheaper.

This is a sign that the price gouging is over.
They should sell it packs of 10 for the same sale price imo, limit 1 per household if there are buyout issues.
Lysol is now $4. Looks like prices are getting back to normal and more stock are available.
If you're sceptical, go with the Kimberly-Clark 'duck bill' N95s on Amazon (made in USA).
They might look a little silly, but they're super comfortable relative to other N95s. I have to wear one 8-10hrs/day, and have worn various makes/models. The duck bill is where it's at.

It's an 8 hour mask. 10 masks won't last the average person two weeks.
