I purchased one. Mainly because most counterfeit products I see are copies of the popular designs/prints. Doesn't mean this is legit, but this one seemed relatively new and not that popular. If I received a box full of masks with misspelled words and different designs, return is easy. It's cheaper than powecom.

Quote from EricPost :
The FDA has conflicting information. It lists these as Non-NIOSH Approved Respirators.

https://www.fda.gov/medical-devic...#appendixa

Go to section Appendix A and look at chart.
That refers to 9502+, not 9502+ N95. These two are different products, with the former not being NIOSH-certified

I'm in Texas. Do I need these gov Abbot? No? Ok thanks for looking out for my safety.
You need electricity and no masks. I can sell you some of my electric power for only 50 cents a kilowatt hour

by the way, if you want to stay safe. Stay outdoors. Go early to the store when no one is around. Stay away from people. You will not get sick.

But if you go to a bar with a bunch of folks drinking and grinding,....you will get sick.

To summarize: basically this product when sold directly to consumers is considered graymarket goods. They are authentic masks that were intended for other distribution channels. The manufacturer 3M will not acknowledge them as legitimate nor say they are counterfeit. This is similar to buying an international cell phone and finding out that the warranty is void.

I bought some because they are authentic and I'm willing to live without a warranty or assurance from 3M that they are legitimate.

I bought a couple of these
Are these really fake? Not good N95?
If so, please tell, I need to cancel soon else it will get shipped soon
I would trust NIOSH website and 3M website. If they say that this model is NIOSH N95 approved, I would definitely trust it.... I have another brand folding NIOSH N95 respirator mask and it is pretty much exactly like this type and it is a very good mask..... I would wear a folding NIOSH N95 mask with confidence.

fyi exhaust valves not allowed in doctors office or on airplanes.

The purpose of the mask is not to protect you as it is to protect me. Folks that have valves just push out your Covid germ sprays all over the place.

If you are sick and wear a mask with valve you just make it harder on everyone.

But the N95 is really the best mask to protect you for brief exposure periods.

Distance and Mask is the key. Elevators suck for that.

And if you hear someone sneeze, hold your breath and run. It takes 10K covid particles to get you sick. that happens in 20 minutes talking with no mask. A sneeze delivers 2-3 million particles in a few seconds.

Latest CDC study says valved masks are as good as or better than surgical masks in regards to particle emission.

"FFRs with an exhalation valve provide respiratory protection to the wearer, and this study demonstrates that they can also reduce 0.35-μmMMAD particle emissions to levels similar to or better than those provided by surgical masks and unregulated barrier face coverings."
