You are correct. For the echo one, it is commonly $25. However the $25 amount in the title is obligatory as the post is for a multitude of echo devices, some of which quite well priced.

I have both. Main difference is battery life. Significantly better on XT2. Both only work properly with lithiums (although rechargeable lithiums have worked mostly ok for me). Theoretically you could power it with micro usb into the back, but you'd lose some weatherproofing. Other performance differences are negligible I think.
