------------------------PLEASE,
anyone with screenshot that shows specifically the breakdown of the discounts EPP and others. The various screenshots already included do not include the various breakdowns, which I remember seeing.

Also, for those who tried to price match the current price to the price during the sales price + education discount, how did it go? I am having issue pricematching now that it is back in stock but different discount. Thank you.

sorry, have been quite busy. I have been monitoring somewhat daily. I've noticed the following according to SleepStudy-report via powercfg command:

-I initiate hibernation manually [state=hibernate], then close lid
-6 hours and 28 minutes later, the state is 'Active', then 'Screen Off' for 3-4 minutes [lately been 9 minutes which I believe have helped a drained of a few more %]. Then, it sleeps for a time period before it automatically hibernate again as set in your power settings of when to hibernate after sleep. I set mine to 1 hr after sleep to start hibernating.
-another 6 hours and 28 minutes later, the state is 'Active' again. Repeats

So, changing the power setting from hibernating after sleep from Never to 1 hr for me [or 30 min for you] did help alot in reducing the drastic battery drain..I have not paused Windows Update. I'll try that tonight.

I have not done a deep research on the 6 hr & 28 min thing. That seems to bug me a bit.

Also, I am on Samsung Mode, not Windows Balanced mode.

What's everyone's updates?
I decided to unpause windows update to see what happens. I am happy to report that I am still not getting that drastic battery drain I did before. This has been about 3 days now. So perhaps changing the when to hibernate is what did the trick (setting it to anything reasonable).

Something is causing it to wake up but i don't know what. At least it is now going back to hibernation.

Just an FYI regarding Windows Update - you can disable it by going into services.msc. I did that and all my power issues completely went away. I have nothing on this computer that is imperative to keep up to date so I'll just manually update whenever I have a chance. Don't need it running behind the scenes on its own volition. This is a permanent solution so that you don't need to disable every X days.

Can you elaborate on how to get to service.msc? Are you talking about registry edit?

You can get there from the Run prompt. I don't think it's a registry edit, you're simply turning off the Windows Update service, but I'm not familiar enough with the advanced parts of Windows to know the difference.

Interesting. I just ran my sleep report and noticed that my laptop has not woken up overnight anymore even though I unpaused windows update (and have not messed with services.msc).

Have you tried putting it back to sleep mode and not hibernate? After disabling the Windows Update service, I decided to try this. Closed the lid last night at around 8 PM and it was at 56%. Checked just now, 11 hours later, and it's at 45%, so basically 1% an hour drain without use. I might keep it this way, as I do like the instant turn on without having to wait for it to come out of hibernate.

can you post your sleepstudy screenshot of that day indicating not waking up overnight? Mine woud indicate hibernate lasting 6:28 [hrs:min] for ever hibernation over 6 hr 28 min or so. Then, the status is 'Active', screen off [as lid is closed] lasting 3-9 min.

mine shows as attached:

Here is the screenshot of not showing any waking up nor significant battery drain. I originally paused windows update, but then unpaused it. So this is with Windows update not paused, and with me changing the hibernation setting to hibernate after 20 minutes while on battery and on Balanced Power plan.

Here is screenshot of what happened when I got the battery drain before ever experimenting with pausing windows update or changing hibernation time. You can see the battery drain happened between 19:30 and 6:56 the next day (from 85% to 17%) but never showed up as a waking up! This was back around 3-26-21.

Are you still getting bad battery drain? If so, what have you done?

My drain seems minimal. But wondering if it can improve even better, as hibernate is not supposed to drain much of anything, as essentially, power is off vs sleep. Most likely, decreasing the hibernate from never/infinity to 30 minutes was the workaround.

But, as shown in my screenshot earlier, my sleepstudy report often indicates "active" state for less than a minute after 6 hrs 28 min hibernation [which I manually activated], followed by screen off, then sleep, then hibernate again [not manually activated by me].

So the question is why is it waking up to active state. Do you have windows update on or paused?

Would anyone kindly share a screenshot showing the sale price or their order screen? I'm trying to PM. They delayed my S21 preorder promo code.
