Also the 5800X runs the hottest when compared to the other Zen 3 CPUs

even when compared to 5900x and 5950x? aren't all 3 of them 105W TDP?

Finally. A "deal" at SD that is not 5800x since the release. Hopefully we'll see 5900x soon too.

The only AAA game I play right now is COD Warzone with a 2070S, so I guess not?

"In this instance, this seems that the voltage of the 5800X is a lot higher than the other processors, and this is forcing higher thermals – we were measuring 90ºC at full load after 30 seconds (compared to 73ºC on the 5600X or 64ºC on the 5950X), which might be stunting the frequency here. The motherboard might be over-egging the voltage a little here, going way above what is actually required for the core."
Source: https://www.anandtech.com/show/16...x-tested/7

Also Tom's Hardware got 90ºC at full load with the 5800X: "We recorded all-core boosts that generally landed in the 4.5 to 4.55 GHz range, and temperatures peaked (albeit for a short period) right at 90C, the maximum allowed temperature for AMD's 105W processors. Power consumption peaked at 140W, which is close enough to the 142W PPT limit (given expected variance) to say the processor, at stock settings, has the capability to extract the utmost power potential from the socket. That comes with the caveat that thermal conditions have to allow the chip to operate within that range - temperatures peaked at 90C, the limit, during the same time frame, indicating the chip was constrained by both thermal and power limits."

Good deal. Newegg would go out of their way and charge $10 for shipping even though everyone knows it doesn't cost them that much.
