For some reason it's only giving me the option of a free battery. Even if I select the ratchet separately and delete the battery it is charging full price for both in my cart.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So you buy the kit and "free" tool, then return the free tool?

Yes. Your receipt will show the prorated return values for the kit and for the "free" tool.

For example, you pay $229 for the kit and the "free" ratchet. Your receipt will show that you can return the kit for $139 or return the ratchet for $90.

Got it.

I ended up with the installer tool for $150 using the web version of this, last month. Not sure I want to deal with it again for $11 Smilie

You would need someone to manually add the coupon. I haven't had any luck even using Home Depot coupons on prorated bundles (in-store). For example When buying a Makita tool bundle with a "free" item the $20 off $200 would either void the discount or the prorated bundle would void the coupon.

This was at self checkout and I was using coupons I purchased so I didn't bother getting help and just used the coupons on other things

AFAIK discounts like these show up automatically so you can use self-checkout, then go to customer service and return what you don't want.

When you purchase the 4-in-1 kit at the store does it include the "free gift" 12-Volt Lithium-Ion XC Extended Capacity 6.0Ah Battery Pack? Or is that only with the online purchase?

Relax hotshot. It's not very intuitive. How would anyone know how to do this if you haven't done it before.
