I have a set of these, and they're very nice. If you want to screw 4 crappy casters to the bottom of something light, hit Harbor Freight. If you want to mount quality casters that raise and lower with a foot press and hold up to heavy weights, these are for you.

I have an 1100 on my sander, and their bigger unit on my 20" 1945 band saw, which weighs 600+lbs...I push it around the shop like it weighs nothing, then raise the casters and it's locked solid to the floor. I think my bigger unit cost about $110, but I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I'm building a workbench, and honestly, I had no idea casters were so expensive. Is this brand special or well known or something? Looks like a lot of cheaper options on Amazon.

These casters are "name brand". They make a well known lumber rack as well. I finished my workbench two months ago and used these casters which are similar. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08HHVMXT4

I can't say if this is a good price on these specifics but not all caters are created equal. The benefits of these is they can go up or down, which will be more stable than a standard career with a lock. These are ideal for a work bench you need to move around

These look really nice for the price.
How do these handle on less than smooth surfaces?

This saves 10 -15 dollars over Homedepot. Not a great deal I'd say, but worth it for if you need em now.

You can buy extra brackets to put on different benches, shelves, etc and just swap your casters as needed

Bought one of these last time it was on sale. Used it as a rolling base for a chest freezer.

Buying a second set now...very nice product. Sturdy, well made, nice design. Worth having in the garage -- easy to make a quick base if you just need a temporary (or permanent) solution.

I have the same setup and these work great. I got them on sale at Home Depot last year for $25 though
