This is good information you posted but consider that Amazon is shipping a 14 lb. package to your door and it barely costs any more than the one you are buying in retail. Plus you don't have to haul it from the store to your house
I buy this from Costco and it's really good for this price. If you don't care about using Tide and just want something affordable, good, and smells awesome, this is great.
If it spills, they will replace it.

This isn't that cheap per load. 100 load bottles are routinely $5 and sometimes $4 at any Albertson's-owned, other-branded market if you combine with A&H coupon. Home Depot does a Spring Black Friday sale where these are also much cheaper than this.

This is middle of the road detergent imho and Consumer Reports' and suits our needs fine. Use stain remover prior if needed. I'm an SDer and am definitely not spending money on Tide or Persil.

If you have never used go smell some at a store before ordering. I had a jug spill and fill my trunk. Car stunk forever! To this day I can't stand that smell.
Oh and if you shop local always make sure the lids are screwed on tightly.

Its below average. Ok for light cleaning. So if you do not get really dirty or smell it will be ok.

Good middle+ detergents are Purex with Clorox2 (has to be the C2 version) or All.

Good cheaper higher end performing detergent is Costcos Kirkland.

I bought a ton of these when they were $5 and that's still too expensive.

You sound like you know what you're talking about... What would you rate cleaning performance out of 100 and cost per load of the a&h vs costco/kirkland?

Good good price.
CVS online has 210 ounce Arm and Hammer liquid 2X laundry detergent for $9.99, but my Amazon prime, free shipping is the deal maker.

COSTCO KIRKLAND BRAND DETERGENT was tested by Consumer Reports and did just as well as TIDE for a lot less money.
