Main drawback seems to be the 8" knives being lightweight (vs 10"). The 3pk axe set is the same price ($46 [amazon.com]) and the 3pk 10" knives is $23 [amazon.com], so the 8" in this combo deal are worth the gamble for me.

Just here to say thank you for posting something other than camera tripods, coffee K-Cups, variant of an instapot or a vacuum sealed water bottle

Very tempting. This might be good bang for the entertainment buck, and probably decent exercise as well.

Best part about this deal is the included bottle opener. I'm impressed that they managed to create bottle opener that would work both for "big events" and "smaller groups." I know I normally carry a set of a dozen bottle openers so I have the right size for each number of partygoers - 1-12. It might be useful to have these for groups 13 or larger, or even just to only have to carry one for when I have 2-12 people over, instead of needing the entire set.

Also, nothing says "party" like alcohol and hurling sharpened steel around!

We bought the ax set a month ago. They are way more fun than I thought they would be. As long as you hurl them with enough strength, they will stick. They are sharp on four sides.
