It's honestly fine as long as they bargain price it and you don't need more than 8 cores.

True but I suspect we are going to be flooded with tech come April. Tons of ships being held at the port until April. They are gonna flood the market with supply once those stim checks go out.

The cpu support list can be found here: http://tw.asrock.com/MB/Intel/B56...ex.asp#CPU
It supports i5-10400 for sure, as well as ram overclocking (up to 4400+).
In comparison, a b460 mb with i5-10400 can only support up to ddr4 2666 ram clock, which is a big drawback for gaming.

Nice price on a good Mini-ITX motherboard. I have had many ASRock products and always had good luck with them!

I don't think that is true for GPU market. AFAIK China and Taiwan's GPU market is still crazy for mid-high end latest gen GPUs, both pricing and availability. And they make all the stuffs there.

You're lucky! (or I am unlucky) Of the 5 Asrock motherboards (across three generations) I've owned in the past decade, they all died in 2-4 years. I don't trust Asrock anymore sadly. Maybe they've gotten better though.

Meanwhile, I have Asus motherboards that have lasted 9 years, lol.

The demand will severely decrease and they have ships with backed up stock coming in end of March. Mid April you are going to see an abundance of inventory.
I don't know why you think the supply and demand relationship will simply flip like that considering the global semiconductor shortage and other factors, but my guess is there will be more mid end cards, like 3060, maybe 60Ti and 70, but that's about it. Higher end cards will remain on the low supply end for much longer.

Still using a Z97E-ITX right now, built the PC in 2014. I heard ASRock's mid-high end boards are solid but the lower end boards not so much

Great option for something like a 10100 or 10400. The prices on those CPUs is crazy low right now, and they're surprisingly quick. Especially since you can run faster RAM with this board, and the current Intel RAM controllers are very impressive (on my z490 board my 10400f could run a 32gb 3200 c16 kit at 4133 c17 with fairly low voltages).

Probably not worth waiting for 11th gen versions of those chips, as they're likely to be more expensive for very similar performance. The lower end ones are still comet lake architecture, I believe, so no Xe graphics etc. The one notable improvement is PCIe 4.0 support, which is hardly a deal breaker for a budget system.

Did they remove the dumb limitations of capping ram speed that were present on previous Bx60 boards? If the only lock is on cpu then I might grab this for a 10100 build.
