Customize to get the RTX 3070 over the default video card, remove intel ax wifi to get $10 off, use coupon code 5GAMER2021 to get 5% off.

April 2 delivery, better deal than the Dell's right now.

If you select 750W platinum power supply you can use 10GAMER2021 code to get the price to 1304.99 and it's the best value for money upgrade out there I think. Upgrading CPU/RAM/SSD yourself will be a lot cheaper than HP's upgrades but a good 750W platinum power supply costs easily more than the $40 extra you'd pay. Also I would add the $10 extra for the intel ax wifi card but you can remove it to get the cheapest deal.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I just don't understand why people are buying right now with everything do ungodly overpriced. I mean unless you absolutely need it I say talk with your wallet and don't buy. Stock will eventually increase, prices will eventually fall and we can all do our part to speed this up by NOT buying ANYTHING! Just my opinion take it as you want.
Because prices are not going down and mining is not going away and $1200 for a brand new gaming PC is not overpriced. Not sure why you are confused.

People are using it to mine to offset the cost of entire system.
There are probably about 4 months left to do decent mining. After 1559 takes effect in July, mining will be severely limited and far less profitable.

FYI I ordered one of these Feb 15th, and deliver day WAS march 8th and is currently pushed back until March 29th.
I'm in the same boat. I ordered when it was sold with the Ryzen 3500. Still waiting. I even tried to cancel and they won't let you. Said once it is in "processing" there's nothing they can do and it is only a request. If you want to return it, they'll charge you a restocking fee. You're stuck! I would NOT make a customized order. If it is on the shelf prebuilt, HP is fine though.

Umm, the point here is that you can add anything you want. The 3070 is basically going for $1K right now on the secondary market, so you are basically getting everything else for less than $300..... Add some additional ram and storage and you have a great desktop.
Don't forget re-sale fees (eBay 10% cut)

This would be a deal at $1000 or maybe $1100, but definitely not at $1263. The Dell deal with i3 and 5700 XT for 789 was much better than this.

Well, I jumped on the Costco RX5700 deal ($999( from a few weeks ago and my RX5700 is doing about 52 MH/s and higher sometimes, where the RTX 3070 is doing no more than 60MH/S even with some aggressive tweaking. That said, with PerksAtWork and logging as HP EPP, you can configure this one with RX5700 for about $992.74 with code "5GAMER2021". This is as close to the Costco deal as I can find. This seems to be a great deal for me since I was doing pretty well on the RX5700, but this is just me. Just my 2cents !
I got the same system but the hash rate goes down to 50.2 after sometime The over locking resets to the default. What are your settings?

For what it's worth, I ordered 2x HP builds, each with a 3090 back in Jan. Estimated to deliver by Feb. When it was a couple of days away from estimated delivery, I could see the assembly did not even start yet. I called in to confirm and was told the notification system is not a real time update, it probably started assembly and will ship very soon. Was asked to just wait and not cancel. I waited, then got a message saying it was delayed an additional month. Was quite annoyed since any delay is costing money that could be mined and the card is getting older, new gen will be here soon enough. As time got closer, still it never started production. Was a hassle to cancel and took 4x times chatting/calling in total.

I ordered from HP, Dell, Lenovo and the Costco deal all within the last 1-2 months. Would definitely say HP is the slowest and most hassle. All the others have actual supply or short term supply if they are posting.

Skip HP, order somewhere else.

I have the same system. My hash stays at 52 at 109watts. Do not use the beta driver from AMD, the card will crash and you will revert back to 50 hash at 140watts.
My settings are:

Freq: 800 1000 1200
Voltage 800 800 800
Vram max 1860

Fan points on each vertice on the graph.

What would be the reason to spend an extra $120 for the 750watt power supply? is that even worth it?

I need to do this too. I don't want the HP crap anymore they are taking too long. I've never attempted a charge back. Is it hard and does it effect your credit score?

From what I understand about mining the AMD card will be limited on other coins when Eth loses ability to be mined. Where as the Nvidia cards will hold value better for resale.
Dang I remember the earlier days when everyone needed an amd card to get any decent mining done 😆. It's Crazy how it flipped a few years later.
