Customize to get the RTX 3070 over the default video card, remove intel ax wifi to get $10 off, use coupon code 5GAMER2021 to get 5% off.

April 2 delivery, better deal than the Dell's right now.

If you select 750W platinum power supply you can use 10GAMER2021 code to get the price to 1304.99 and it's the best value for money upgrade out there I think. Upgrading CPU/RAM/SSD yourself will be a lot cheaper than HP's upgrades but a good 750W platinum power supply costs easily more than the $40 extra you'd pay. Also I would add the $10 extra for the intel ax wifi card but you can remove it to get the cheapest deal.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I need to do this too. I don't want the HP crap anymore they are taking too long. I've never attempted a charge back. Is it hard and does it effect your credit score?
Honestly, no clue. I just state my case to my cc and don't want 2.8k held up for months.

There are probably about 4 months left to do decent mining. After 1559 takes effect in July, mining will be severely limited and far less profitable.
I'm confused on 1559, I thought it destroys ETH when used as gas. Wouldn't mining ETH then become more valuable?

Well, I jumped on the Costco RX5700 deal ($999( from a few weeks ago and my RX5700 is doing about 52 MH/s and higher sometimes, where the RTX 3070 is doing no more than 60MH/S even with some aggressive tweaking. That said, with PerksAtWork and logging as HP EPP, you can configure this one with RX5700 for about $992.74 with code "5GAMER2021". This is as close to the Costco deal as I can find. This seems to be a great deal for me since I was doing pretty well on the RX5700, but this is just me. Just my 2cents !
No where near costco deal. The costco came with ryzen 7 3700x and decent RAM, SSD. you can sell the system and keep the card. And more importantly you have it asap. 1000$ investment for $4/day profit, you need 250 days to recoup. It is very risky to buy system to mine now, especially there are speculation that mining profit drop in the summer. Buying system to mine now is kind of very risky. I will stay away if it is to mine, for gamer, decent deal on 3070 but why buy now, wait like 2-3 months. price might drop significantly.

Dell had 5700xt a week ago I'm sure it's less than $800.

I'm confused too but I think mining pools are putting out negative prop about it because they make money on tx fees. In my opinion 1559 is going to cause a flood of new miners (as many as can get gpus) because the value of eth is going up like a rocket since there will be less eth in the market. 1559 makes eth a deflationary currency, which means the value of existing eth increases, unlike US dollar which is inflationary and the value decreases. Just my layman's grasp of the situation.

Most of the stuff they throw it in are junk. 8g ddr2600 1tb hard drive no ssd. And a decent cpu. It's from Dell deal a week ago. I only need GPU and those items will be laying around the house and losing value.

I'm a mining n00b, but I thought moving to Proof of Stake model means people already with ETH will have it easier to make $, whereas new entrants will have a harder time? Could someone ELI5 for new miners post-1559?

Proof of stake refers to the difficulty bomb which has now been delayed as part of the agreement to engage 1559. The 1559 deals with transaction fees, which for Ethereum were getting crazy sometimes. It sets a standard for users instead of letting the fee be determined by the network.

ships on April 5. By looking at Dell and HP, GPU will likely be restocked around late march or early april.
