Ordered 2 cases; this is almost half the price compared to local stores. Amazon will regret allowing these to be shipped to Alaska.

Just a quick note, as this can be a deal-breaker for many (myself included)

Pepsi recently purchased the Rockstar brand and has changed several of the flavors (and calories) while retaining the original names. I know for sure that both the "Original" (Black/Gold) and "Sugar Free" (White/Gold) flavors were re-formulated and have a very grapey/"blue" energy drink flavor to them rather than the original Rockstar/Sugar Free flavors.

If you look at their social media pages, almost every message is about how bad these taste now: https://www.facebook.com/rockstar

This applies to the "new cans" (shown in the item photos). The only way to get the original flavor are the older cans.

I've been drinking rockstar for years and after buying these (before realizing the change), have no interest in buying any others.
I'm one of the few that actually loves the reformulated flavor of the sugar free. I liked the old one but love the new one!

Where do you live? I have a case of the new stuff, minus the one can I managed to stomach.

Bummer. You're 1,500 miles away. If you were nearby, I'd just give them to you. Amazon refunded me and let me keep them.

Go in with someone who likes the opposite sugar/no sugar. Each person buys a case. Exchange. Win-Win.

Obviously, this is convenient, but I've regularly seen rockstar and some monster energy drinks available at dollar tree.
I see the no sugar crap at the dollar tree once in a while. I dont know if its just me but the no sugar ones give me no energy at all. Like drinking flavored water.

Just bought three as gifts shipped to their house, RAOK. I'm sure I'll see a return on investment.

The flavors are...fine. I'm more curious as to why they decided to mix high-sugar and no-sugar drinks in the same pack.
well, as a New Yorker (no kroger, winco etc) these are always at least $2-3 apiece... so the opportunity to sample some that i'd never try @$3/each for 1/2-1/3 of regular cost sounds great

Wow, thank you for pointing this out. At some point I had switched to various Monster flavors because I was able to get a good price on them locally. I recently went back to some Sugar Free Rockstar and didn't like it. I thought my tastes had just changed, but I bet this is what actually happened.

Check Wal*Mart. They're $1.50 per can before tax.

I just cracked open a case of the Sugar Free original and it is the new flavor and it is truly bad. If you want to know how bad just go to Rockstar's facebook page and spend 5 minutes reading the comments. I will never purchase another Rockstar product again and I've been drinking them daily since 2007.
