Way better. This is ultralight at 74g and also wireless, which I think is the wave of the future. No longer are wireless mice considered inferior for gaming. Competitors to this are usually the Logitech G Pro Superlight and Glorious Model O Wireless mice.

Reviews usually say the quality might be slightly better than the Glorious (which I got recently) and for $80 I think it's a steal. At this price I would've gotten this Razor instead. The Logitech G Pro Superlight is good but is $150...

Light mice make such a bug difference for FPS. If you don't do FPS gaming, or prefer a heavier mouse, you could probably look elsewhere. Note the $80 version doesn't include a charging dock which is very good per reviews.

Says $132 for me. Price mistake?

Ahh, $80 for the dockless version. Dock is $20 if you buy separately from Razer.

How are you getting the dock for $20? It's showing full price of $50 for me. I would want the dock if I buy this. TIA!

G305 is wireless
It is 85g with lithium AAA battery.
It is also $20 at walmart.

I wouldnt say this is obviously better. Although i personally think it is since g305 is small. Just saying many would prefer g305 and justifiably so

I've been using this mouse for a couple months now. I love it, but I'd recommend getting the dock with it.

Obligatory: they stopped supporting MacOS beyond right- and left-click. The software straight-up doesn't see your device anymore on Big Sur.

So here's the story on this:

1) hotswappable generally preferred over rechargeable that being said, the only hotswappable batteries for mice is going to be the g305 that's viable as a light weight mouse.

2) so basically, the G305 with 4 mods and some time on yuour hands will give you a 72-74 gram mouse that lasts about 1 week of heavy gaming.

pieces you need:
G305 - 40 dollars on sale normally - walmart price i think is a brickseek ymmv
Ebay - back shell and body 3d print mod - roughly 35 dollars.
Amazon - rechargable lithium batteries - roughly 32 dollars with charger for 4 batteries, you can buy a 2 battery variant for less.
Amazon - plastic caps for your AAA battery - about 7 dollars.

So it will cost you over 100 dollars to mod out the g305 to about 72 grams of weight.

The issue is if you want to be able to hotswap or not?

Otherwise the better deal is the viper.

BUT...the glorious o is 80 dollars but shipping is not free (this is the wireless one).

Steel series has a wirless aerox 3 which is 88 dollars (12 dollars off 100 dollar with coupon code).

There are non perfect mice that are wireless for about 45 dollars on amazon - 3325 sensor I believe.

These all compete in the same space, ultralight wireless.

https://www.rocketjumpninja.com/top-mice

For reference.

I have the aerox wireless and the g305, I use both interchangebly. I tend to forget to recharge my peripherals so I like hot swappable option instead.

I also have the wireless arctis pro headset from steelseries because its....hotswappable...lol

I've attached a picture of the mods.

I generally try to stay away from razer, I've had keyboard go bad early, headphones go bad early, multiple mice go bad early...(I do have the orbweaver and tartarus pro but there are no real alternatives to these). I am so tempted to buy this but my experience from 2000's from their mice and 2010's with they keyboards...bleh...

I also have done the watch battery mod cells, but they only last about 18 hours on 3 cells put together, so it's just not convenient.

You can buy the cells from alibaba and get them dlelivered over a month from china. (this does drop the weight down to 68 grams).

in the picture: left is body of the g305 on it's side, plastic holder for AAA, the recharable lithium battery, and the back shell. above the mouse is the aerox wireless.

How does this compare with the basilisk hyperspeed?

I've tried two different death adders and the basilisk and they just seem to be less accurate overall.. end up finding myself going back to Logitech.

Even though the sensors lab test with no acceleration they feel sluggish when flicking around.

What does this and the Dodge Viper have in common?

Overpriced unreliable garbage.

Really hoping Razer gives the mamba/DA the viper treatment, aka an ergo design that is lightweight with modern features. This is a pretty good deal but I hate ambi mice.
