These are terrible. What a waste of time and money. Maybe my box was defective, but I bought these to speed up a boat lighting project. Couldn't get one of them to work. I spent more time fiddling with them, trying to get them to work than I should have. I went so far as to strip the wire insulation myself, then attach these to bare wire, just to see if they would "in theory" work. Nope. Seems like a great idea, but didn't work at all for me. They went straight into the garbage after that. If you're able to make these work for you, I would have zero trust in that connection.

This is why I love SD. We can see all kinds of deals every day, but the best deal is when you buy something and it works for you as it should. Appreciate your inputs, helps people make wise decision.

I've found that if the wire you're tapping is fresh, meaning the insulation is soft and pliable, these are "ok" in the right applications. If your wire insulation is aged, hard/hardened or brittle, these are a huge waste of time and will only make the job harder and less reliable. If the wire your tapping is subject to movement avoid these at all costs. Same goes for exposure to the elements, avoid these.

These are cheap vampire or vamp connectors. IMHO they should never be used. If you simply must use a wire tap and you can't solder/heat shrink it get something of a much higher quality and reliability- https://www.posi-products.com/posiplug.html

Overall t taps are bad mojo. They should be considered a temporary solution at best.

Again- All IMHO.
