Evertherm. I too own a lot of EB jackets. I own the one in the post in a different color, but never wore it. I have like 6 Evertherm jackets. Last year winter in Chicago wasn't too bad. I was getting away with hoodies and stuff till almost February. This year Evertherms were all I wore. And we had some cold days. Below zero days. I wore the Evertherm with short sleeve shirts underneath and was fine. I drive to work but I also had to shovel snow in front of my house so I was outside for extended periods of time in it. Never was cold. Best way to describe it is you won't be cold or hot in it. Chicago lately is in the 50s so I switched to a Sherpa lined hoodie. I like them because they're not bulky at all. It's packable enough to fit in a backpack. If you can deal with that color, it's an awesome jacket for an awesome price.
yes for the 1000 fill power down jacket with this much fill weight (90grams/3.2oz) you will never find one at this price until now. it depends on your needs really- if you're looking for a durable and super lightweight (10oz total weight) and warm down to low 40s (20s F if you're hiking or walking constantly) then this is for you. it packs very small too in your backpack. All other 1000 fill power down jackets i've seen were at least 400+ retail, and usually sold out before heavily discounted. This one is also one of the 1000 fill down jacket that has more down (3.2oz) while other jackets only had 1 to 2 oz of down.

it's not going to save your life in a -20F blizzard but for backcountry camping, hiking, and traveling this is a rare find for sure.
i recommend getting the Centennial Collection MicroTherm® 1000 Down Jacket with discount. For a 1000 fill power down jacket at $120 is totally unbelievable! Also the fill weight is 3.2oz, which is 90 grams, double the fill weight of the evertherm down hoodie. I think it'll be much warmer than that, and way much better jacket than the Evertherm Hoodies.

Appreciate the post but your math is way off. $229 - 60% is not $72

you are correct; in terms of discount. It's actually a 68.56% discount for the fur hoodie

You recommend any of the 3? I usually get Columbia because it's usually more affordable when it's on sale. Want to splurge since these seem like a good deal.

This! I can't believe the 60% coupon works on it. Saw the 40% coupon earlier and almost jumped on it then. Hope they get the down camp suits back in. They had one large earlier but someone got it before I got thru checkout. I ordered a Medium at the full $180 price, which isn't bad at all for the product in the first place, and I can't believe it wasn't $300+ to start with.

I'm no jacket expert (snob), but I've yet to see a 1000 quality down in any other jacket ever posted on SD. It's rare. I got their Men's MicroTherm® 2.0 Down Hooded Jacket with 850 fill down back in Sept with a 60% off clearance coupon that made it like $78, which was a deal at the time. Even 850 fill down is rare in jackets, especially for $78.

I have a Arc'teryx synthetic insulation Atom LT for $136 on here last spring, and while I like it's cuffs, hood, and fit just a bit better, it's not nearly as warm. I've never owned an EB jacket before the 850 fill one, but I know I've always thought they fit and looked really good on friends and just people in public... And I'm not into fashion at all. I wear nearly the same exact base/basic clothes from Costco every day.

The down camp suit is only 650 fill power, but it looks great to have for camping.. but this jacket is much more versatile i think- and it's 1000 fill power! hehe
