Can you still sign up for one of these if you already have a Chase sapphire card?

No, only one sapphire card per person. You can downgrade your card to Freedom family
and then apply.

Also, if you have received any sapphire sign up bonus in the last 48 months you will
not be eligible for a new bonus.

I opened Sapphire Reserve in 2019. Have lot of points on it so instead of canceling, I downgraded it in 2020 to no-fee version.

Do I have to cancel it to sign up for new offer? How long do I have to wait?
What's the best option for points on it. I think there is something special about these points. That's why I did not cancel the card in 2020.

not be eligible for a new bonus

Been planning to dump the CSR for some time now.

I downgraded to a Freedom a few days ago to get a prorated AF credit back.

I used up my annual 'travel' voucher and Doordash credit. I also blew all my points to zero on Pay-Yourself-back credits.

Since I've had it sine August 2016, its nice timing to re-up a Sapphire sign-up bonus! I was very hopeful the 80k bonus would come back.

In that case, does it matter how many cards you have in the Freedom family, because I have 2 other Freedom cards already as well lol...

Also, does it risk anything or is it ok to ask them to reduce my credit on the saphire card I would be downgrading? I signed up for like 4 or 5 credit cards within the past year here, I am worried my credit limit would be low signing up for this sapphire preferred card and thus not having enough credit to get the bonus.

Just got approved for a csp card yesterday before stumbling across this post. Anyone have any success calling a csr to get the 60,000 bumped to 80,000?

The 80k promo has yet to start, so no one would be able to request a match. But Chase refused to match the last time there was a 80k bonus just FYI.

Cancelled my Chase Sapphire Reserve last year after NO "Retention offer" for my account. Waiting for 100000 points to reapply Chase Sapphire Reserve.
FYI - you're going to be waiting a while before you can get any other Chase Sapphire bonus (Reserve or Preferred). They have a 48 month rule.

The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months.

I am not sure if they have any limits on the number of Freedom cards but if you have opened
a bunch of CC's (from any card issuer) in the recent past, you may run into the chase 5/24
rule (can't have opened 5 or more cards in the past 24 months).

You can call and ask them when your last signup bonus posted or check it yourself in the
past statements (available at chase.com)

Will Chase approve you for the card even though you don't meet the 48 month rule? Or will they automatically deny the application because you got a bonus within 48 months?
