Experience......I'm sorry, I had to
I've had the D3 for about 2 years. I really like it. It has had a few small issues but as long as you keep the filter clean and check the brush spinner, it works well. I love the mapping feature and could never go back to non-mapping for vacuuming the main floor.

Pro tip on the filter, throw a folded tissue over the filter before putting in the collection bin to make cleaning super easy and make the filter last much much longer

Is it a big improvement over the XV series?

Purchased. Already have a D3 for the main floor and an older XV that this will be replacing for the 2nd floor.

At this price, they're solid value for a relatively feature-rich vac with mapping, decent suction, decent support (both factory and secondary markets for consumables) etc.

I think for those who are looking to enter the market, this is good value on an older but still fairly capable vac.

I bought one but I don't see "Pro" listed anywhere in the listing. Thanks OP!

Have one of these and cannot recommend Neato to anyone. I found the below thread that explains the problem many people are having with these machines:

I don't think this is the pro. This still isn't a bad deal, although my d3 is about dead after 2 years and needs rebooted everytime I use it to get synced back to a wifi connection
