I signed up for this card 3 weeks ago and there was a $250 bonus at that time, you might look around for the $250 link somewhere. It may be expired now. I got my $250 credit already.

Capitol One is very conservative though so, they issue denials very easily.
www.doctorofcredit.com has all the faqs:

1. Cap1 allows only 2 personal cards & 2 business cards (but a few have extra grandfathered in) & co-branded cards do not count

2. Cap1 pulls from ALL 3 bureaus at each time for each application (3 pulls per application & averages them out!)

3. need at least 720-740+ mininum FICO according to data points from last several years (but other factors such as too high balances or too many inquiries in past year can cause rejection).. do not know of this year's mininum
so if you are APPROVED; please list your FICO score that got approved
&
how many new cards you got in the past 2 years because there is rumor that Savor cards have a 5/24 rule similar to Chase (ie; must be under 5 new credit card accounts in past 24 months)

Any restrictions if you previously had a Savor card? I didn't see any.

No. I just had the Savor card and cancelled it then signed up for the Savor One card...(because the Savor card has an annual fee). No problems.

Man people actually open that many cards in 24 months...

I open one every roughly 2 years and mainly for the 0% 12-18 month offers. Oddly enough I've never carried a balance but some kind of way subconsciously i guess it makes me feel better knowing i have 0% if i do.

I need a card with no foreign transactions fees for a trip i have coming up, so i guess this is as good as any.

does Capital One have a limit on how many of their own credit card that you can have?

I already have two other cards from them... just wondering if applying for a third one will be accepted?

also.... does Capital One consider Walmart and Target to be "grocery stores" for the cash back purpose? lately, I buy my groceries from those two places only.(milk, bread, eggs, cereals, vegetables, etc)
You could apply for paypal cc. Its 2% flat everywhere

Lol hi there. I get blocked all the time because of this.

If you need free transactions for a trip, checkout the amex delta. Much better sign up bonus

Is there any downside to opening an account and then closing it afterwards just for the bonus?
Why with an annual $0 fee? Can just hold and build credit. Unless you're retired your credit score worth more than the measly $200. ConfusedConfused
