One of the light duty Olympic curl bar with non revolving collars. It'll get the job done.

Any good deals on a full size barbell? Just want something cheap to super set deadlifts and bench or squat.

I'd check your local Walmart for the cap barbell 7 foot olympic bar! You have to assemble it and it's not professional quality but for $30-40 it'll get the job done.

I've been using this bar for the past 8 months and what initially was supposed to be a temporary solution, turned into my daily bar. The grip is very comfortable and the only thing I disliked were the collars, which I replaced with these [amazon.com], as I often adjust the weights.

These were about impossible to get last fall due to all the people staying at home working out.

Yep, those pinchy collars need to go first thing. I tore a chunk of skin out of the back of my hand about 20 years ago, the scar is still there (adjusting weight and collar at same time, pinched a fold of skin between the spring coils). Rubberized cylindrical collars are all I use now.

The titan fitness one is a better alternative for $60, it's out of stock online but there's often used ones for sale on fb marketplace.

I got the CAP black one a few months back for $35. Besides the slow spin it's not bad. I have had zero issues with it

Do the weights spin on this as I'm doing a curl? They do on my Olympic bar and my Olympic dumbells

I have a couple of these curl bars from Walmart in black. The standard and Olympic weights. For curl bars, they're great. I'd use the clamp collars that are about $10 to hold multiple plates.

The weights do spin, because of the range of motion when doing a curl, you'll notice it more than when doing barbell presses/squats. You're basically swinging the curl bar in an arc versus straight up and down.

The black oxide finish hasn't worn off yet. The bar weights are solid as well.

When shipped from store-to-home understand that your delivery driver may just drop it (literally) at your door busting the plastic end caps on the cardboard shipping tube. Bar emerged unscathed.

I paid about $50 for each one and that seemed like a great price. At an even deeper discount, it's almost a no brained if you're shopping.

Don't like the spin lock collars at all, so glad for the clamp on plastic ones that can be purchased in different colors. I also hate the spring clip ones (all-metal) as they're cheap and stupid IMO.

300 lbs? Yeah, seems about right in terms of the limit on these. That's the label on the Olympic and Standard, curl and barbells.

Are you curling more than 300 lbs? Wow, that's done dedication! If not... enjoy a great bar!

That's not the same one. I believe your sleeves actually rotate correct? Doesn't matter either way if "A curl bar is a curl bar".
