I own the 2k 365 day cams and have had them up since December. They are now down to 10-20% battery life on optimized surveillance. Although this is the Black Friday price, if you plan on using this in high traffic areas I highly suggest you get the 365 day cams instead as they do not last as advertised.

These cams also are hit or miss in coverage. Sometimes they do not record even though I clearly am walking past them. For the most part they work well.

I bought the two cam kit and added a third. It's a pretty solid system, I get about 2-3 months of battery, though I have the sensitivity up all the way. I'm planning to add a more robust NVR system with POE cams, but this kit is nice because I had it deployed in a matter of minutes and provides a great basic level of monitoring.

They recently added solar panels that I'm planning to buy as soon as they come back in stock.

I got the 2c camera and their doorbell. If you're using these by themselves they are not as reliable, but using 2 cameras together worked better. You can assign the units to trigger other units if they sense movement

Would you recommend these as a replacement for a NVR?

Thank you, just what I wanted to know. Looking at replacing a ring system and was planning on having a few of these + the doorbell.

That's weird. I have the same 2k cameras and I put mine up in November. I still have 2-3 bars left. I switched from optimized battery to the longer 60sec clips (optimized surveillance) in February. Are you checking live streams often? Or do you just have a lot of traffic?

I agree it does miss things now and then but on the most part it works great. No regrets.

I got the 2C + homebase combo a little while back and it's been really good even in sub-zero temps. I have both cameras tucked under eaves/soffits to protect a little from bad weather, but they work really so far, and they work better than a "smart" doorbell system.

I have two of these (2c). I've had them up since the start of the year. One is on the driveway and set to optimized surveillance and is at 50% the other is in the back yard set to optimized battery life and that one is at 75%. So these should last around 6 months, I did look into the solar panels but if I have to get up a ladder 2 or 3 times a year to charge them I can live with that.

I did adjust the zone so that it wasn't recording evey car that drove past.

They survived the great Texas storm of 2021. The one on the back yard fence did not enjoy being used as a climbing aid for the neighborhood cat. That has been relocated to the shed (the camera, not the cat (no animals were harmed in the installation))

In the past I have spent hours crawling around in attics, inhaling fiberglass and fishing cables into wall cavities. These install in 10 minutes and work just as well. I paid around 170 for 2 with the homebase

After owning these for several months, recently they just bricked. They do not allow for the initial set up process and basically cannot be updated or anything like that. Support did not have an answer to address this and the remediation steps are simply too much work. I have posted around and it seems like there are one or two others with the same issue. Unfortunately, none of us have yet to find a solution.

I believe it is a rare occurrence in my case, but I thought my experience would be worth sharing for the purpose of considerations towards this product.

I updated to Unifi system, which is of course substantially higher end and they've been superior in every sense. If you have the budget and/or tech savviness for that system. Absolutely go with UniFi. Biggest thing for me: Everything is local, no need to connect to some server I have no control over whereby the purpose of this connection is incredibly opaque.

No. If you have PoE cams now, I'd recommend sticking with that and maybe upgrading cams/DVR instead. I've put off running ethernet and have two Eufy cams. If you're used to an NVR system, you'll be disappointed with these. They don't have always on recording. Just motion activated.

Is there a cheaper point of entry to Eufy 2C than the $220 Amazon two camera kit? Only need one camera - Wyze is terrible but at least their Outdoor Camera can be purchased as a one-pack.
