It was really good. this combo is great. but make sure your ipad is compatible. We have multiple ipad pro at home, but none of them can work with this set. It turns our 6-7 years old, retired ipad air is compatible.

Great price - bought one for twice the amount at the beginning of the pandemic.
What I liked about it was that it was very tangible while using the iPad, and the three different game types (one rearranging shapes to make pictures, one filling in letters to make words like Wheel of Fortune, and a math one that teaches basic addition I think). I had my kid using it regularly for a while, like a month, but she hasn't used it in a while since school started; we're just busy. I've been meaning to get it going again though.
As mentioned before, be sure it fits your ipad, and the included white holder is very sturdy but does not like cases at all - it's built to a fairly tight tolerance, which is part of the reason why it hasn't been used more frequently since I didn't want to keep taking my ipad out of the case.
I don't know if it's worth $100, but I would say it's definitely worth half that for young kids learning to spell and math - so the younger age bracket. the games might get more sophisticated for older kids - not sure, haven't gotten that far.
We get a lot of use out of it in our house. We've bought the coding and the pizzeria sets as well. The add-on sets are not cheap though. I appreciate that the physical interactions make it so my son isn't glued to the screen the entire time but is looking at the workspace in front of the iPad and physically moving things around.
I wish they would open up their platform and allow third parties to write games using the existing pieces. That would level it up in mind as a learning tool.
I think this sale price is pretty reasonable for what you're getting. The games are simple, but very educational, and can move up in grade level with your kid. I think they're pretty well designed and intuitive, and using physical objects makes them interactive in a new way compared to other apps. Unfortunately, my daughter has not found them as engaging as I hoped.
Recommended to my son for his daughter who will be four in 3 months and got immediately this answer: I will buy; bought the first osmo its pretty good. her reading picked up quite a bit
Hope this helps
My daughter has been using hers since she was 4 or 5. She likes it a lot and if you can get the coding one it is really good for conceptualizing how coding works.
Our 4 year old and 7 year old both love this... we have several add on kits as well. (For the price, I would have expected someone would knock it off by now). After you have the starter kit... some decent pricing on used kits on eBay or even Amazon warehouse.
