If you read the reviews, they're all positive regarding the material. The only negative reviews are for the fit. But, since it's Banana Republic, you can easily return it if the fit is off.

What's your grammatically messy point here? My air filters aren't doing their job?

Polyester is awful at breathability and promotes overheating. It has seemingly polar opposite properties of wool (which is a breathable & premium fabric). Poly is cheap and abundant (especially the recycled variant), therefore retailers love to cram it in anywhere they can to cut costs.
