Yes. Very effective in getting plaque out at the gumline. The "S" hook one pictured on the far right side gets deep into the molars. I recommend you sanitize these in 90+% isopropyl alcohol solution before and after use. You could dip it in a bit of fluoride toothpaste first.

Great set, but been this price since October of last year. Other retailers selling for the same price.

or foreign tools. i don't need to pick up either to know the superior product, and one i'd rather own. we all know there is a cheap HF option

and it's actually $1.79 [harborfreight.com] ;-)

Who else did you find selling these for same price delivered? I saw same price at Zoro, but they don't have free shipping.

Made in the USA, I am going to presume the steel is better than the Asian imports and with free returns, 37% off list and less than most everyone else is selling for is a good deal.

A lot of times, there will be a 100 or so for sale on Amazon and nobody notices until posted here and once gone, back to list price. I do like the bigger and softer handles on some, but these acetate handles last forever.

True, I have those orange ones and there is no comparison in quality. But, if on a budget, they could work for you and have worked for me.

Have some pride... HF is there for light duty. I have some of the small HF ones and good Snap-on and Proto. Each has its place.

I've had this same set in my cart for it seems like a year.... price never seems to move on them. I think they were originally around $9.7x up until a few weeks ago, but otherwise the price never moves. At less than $2.50 per pick, and Made in USA, still a good deal at Amazon's regular price.

Not only are these made in USA vs China like the HF ones you mention, these are a bit larger... if you see pictures in comments you'll notice one guy has them next to a metal ruler and they measure over 5" a piece. The HF orange handled ones (which I own among others) are slightly smaller... and the steel they use on the HF versions does not appear to be the more rigid tool steel used on these Channelocks.

Btw, are the HF's only $0.99 or is that the coupon price? I thought the regular price was more... yep, just checked, HF regular price is $1.79.

Not sure why you're downvoted here. I own Snap-on and 10 sets of the orange HF pick sets. Both have their respective purposes.

Snap-on stays clean and meticulously used. HB covered in grime, bent or used in disposable situations.

Coupon price. I've seen them down to $.67

Edit: For the thumbs down people, sorry I posted accurate and relevant information about the harbor freight tools.

Yes, but if that coupon price isn't going on right now, then it's not very relevant. HF offered 20% coupon in every add previously, as well... now you hardly see them. If you want to compare a deal, you at least need something that is available now or in the immediate future... and neither applies to the HF picks at $0.67.
