Yeah, head scratcher here when you see people talking about digital antenna. I get over 230 channels over the air free with a small antenna in my attic in Dublin, CA. I get the SF Bay Area channels and many from Santa Rosa and Monterey plus most from Sacramento. I record NOVA, Nature and science on my MCE on Windows 10 from green button (yes it still lives on! Kodi with Headend doesn't scan all my channels on SiliconDust). Funny thing is I watch nearly nothing on TV other than science stuff when I can sit down, but nothing beats a huge screen and 7.2 surround sound watching a Pluto fly by. LOL But family is starting to watch gun slinger classics and shows from 80s. I set all this up in 2008 and just have updated the silicon dust once.

Just add Disney+/Hulu for 12 dollars and way cheaper. Especially with 14TB WDs for $180 at black friday or recent $200 sales.

Depends on your other options. Go price a Comcast, Charter, Cox, Directv, or Dish setup and look at the equipment fees, multi-receivers/boxes, and taxes as they add at least $25-$35 of cost to whatever plan you get.

I dropped You Tube TV about 10 months ago now, for $20 a month Philo TV
Best Decision in a long time.
For one, saving alot of money....paying $20 (pocket change)every month for PhiloTV instead of whatever You Tube TV charges every month now.

Philo has no sports or news: i stopped watching sports and news anyways as both have become fill in the blank

i only hear bad things about sling... never personally used it but youtube tv was nice till they up'd the price. I would still be on it if it were not for the price increase.
I would suggest you give Sling a try. It has the few channels that we absolutely want for half the price of YTTV. And it has on-demand content.

the stream limits of sling and what I hear about buffering issues has always turned me off. The cost is almost the same when you add blue + orange.

I'm paying $30 for Sling Blue with 3 streams. No buffering issues with a 100mbps xfinity service.

T-Mobile should have done this deal with Sling... Would have been much better
Much better? I've had both and I prefer YouTubeTV because of the unlimited DVR and that I can watch ESPN on more than one television at a time. I was just checking up on Sling's latest offering and CNBC isn't included in either package either.

I hope there is a way for existing YouTubeTV customers to add this discount, my concern with cancelling and resigning up would be losing all of my existing DVR recordings.

well that's just one service and misses out on many important channels on orange. And orange is limit 1 stream. Mainly Disney but also ESPN and FreeForm

And they dropped NESN and lots of regional sports..
I think the RSNs and the sports teams are to blame as RSNs can be very expensive.

A single team, the Dodgers, got a 8.35 billion TV contract with Sportsnet LA. That's a ton of money for a single team and I don't think that even includes the money they get from national TV games on channels like ESPN.
