Days Gone was probably the biggest surprise game for me of the PS4 "era". The trailers and even the description/walkthroughs of the game by the game studio did not give me any interest at all. I was bored in 2020 and feeling apocalyptic, and it was on really cheap sale, so I bought it on a whim. Turned out to be one of my probably five favorite PS4 games. Really engaging story and characters to me, and the Horde mechanic is super fun and strategic to deal with. I'm glad I gave it a shot, and really glad I didn't miss out.

But yeah it's already free if you have a PS5.

FYI Days Gone is already in the PS+ collection. I know millions still don't have a pS5, seems like a pS4 only game at least in my eyes.

Not paying $500 for a PS5. I might when it gets a slim version and some games. Plus I can play it at 120 fps probably and it's going to be enhanced in other ways that PS didn't offer.

Days Gone seems ok enough, start of the story isn't really drawing me in at all to even care about the main characters. But anyway I'll give it a shot, seems fun enough. The controls for crafting/equipping items are terrible, TLOU2 or Horizon Zero Dawn had better controls. And additionally I don't get why story and quest progress updates need to cover the main part of the screen, hope that doesn't happen during fights.
