Ridiculously better than Games With Gold, holy shit.
Well frankly for all intents and purposes GwG is dead and it's all about GP, which is miles ahead of Plus.

You keep it as long as you have PS+ active. You don't have to download it immediately. Just add it to your library, and it will be there whenever you decide to download it (unless you cancel PS+)
Just an FYI that even if you cancel PS+ all your free PS+ games that you have added to your account will still be there if you ever decide to reactivate PS+ in the future.

Sony deliberately leaving out ps4 version of Oddworld? What a slap on the face. It's not like most of us had the choice of getting a ps5 lol.
If you don't have a ps5 now, but plan on getting one, log into your ps+ account on your phone or computer and add oddworld to your library. That way it will be there when you find a ps5 in the future. You won't be able to do it on your ps4

Days Gone was probably the biggest surprise game for me of the PS4 "era". The trailers and even the description/walkthroughs of the game by the game studio did not give me any interest at all. I was bored in 2020 and feeling apocalyptic, and it was on really cheap sale, so I bought it on a whim. Turned out to be one of my probably five favorite PS4 games. Really engaging story and characters to me, and the Horde mechanic is super fun and strategic to deal with. I'm glad I gave it a shot, and really glad I didn't miss out.

But yeah it's already free if you have a PS5.
Same, one of my favorite games on PlayStation. It's replay value isn't great but I beat the hell out of it

Geezus, between this and Game Pass, who has enough time to play all these awesome games? I just finished FF7 remake a few weeks ago. Just did my first playthrough of Nier Automata two days ago. Just started Star Wars Fallen Order today. Still backed up on to play Octopath Traveler, Control, Resident Evil 7, Dragon Quest just to name a few. Now Days Gone. First world problems, indeed.

I know it probably doesn't reach Last of Us 1&2 levels, but if I enjoyed those do you think I'll appreciate it?

Couldn't agree more. I was apprehensive but, it turned out to be very enjoyable.

From what I have read earlier today, games on PS Now are not able to be upgraded to PS5 and all games on the service are the PS4 versions of the game.

This was definitely one of my favorite ps4 games. The game is so captivating that my wife would come sit down and watch me play just to find out what happens next.

Not really comparable except having zombies. Completely different genres of gameplay. Days Gone is more akin to Ubisoft open world games... giant map with a million icons of things to do sort of thing which you can do in whichever order you want, plus story missions you can do or ignore in favor of exploration/side missions/etc at your leisure.

Obviously the story is zombies and tragedy and stuff, so in that way it has some echoes of Last of Us, but not really the same otherwise.
