Tip: take the blade out before airport security. After landing, stop at a store for immediate replacement.
I have the original version of this, and it's very small. I just tried to open it one handed and my thumb wants to slide on the blade as it opens. So it's possible, but with this knife I don't think it's a good idea.

Edit: I love it though, it fits in the upper, smaller pocket of a jeans pocket, and is very handy.
I love it, but paid $6.19 for it on Amazon in 2018. No time machine, but I won't order a spare unless it's cheaper.

Also the screw is not flush to the frame for me. Maybe it depends what blade you're using? The screw is fully tightened on mine and has plenty of bite for me to open one handed. I do it all the time. It would only work if you're right handed with the blade. Also you can't finger nail flick it, but you can use your thumb finger to open and close it one handed.

It's a liner lock. According to Q&A, a few folks said it can be opened and closed with one hand, if you're familiar with how to work with liners.

It can not. You could change the screw holding the blade with a thumb screw, but as is, it is flush to the frame. A very nice knife and I do wish it had a thumb screw to hold the blade to make replacement and opening easier.

Too bad it's not available in titanium, then you could get some sick flame ano or acid washed finish. Fun stuff

closing is a little trickier, but it's absolutely one hand operable

Will this fit the Stanley steel heavy duty blades that are $4.99 at Ace?

Wish I could find a replacement screw for mine. Threw it in the garbage. Ugh.

I've opened hundreds of packages with my lil buddy Kershaw [amazon.com], but having an extra utility knife around won't hurt.
