The non-stabilized video is absolute trash. Search YouTube for reviews and video footage.
Not bad for the price. I still lean for a Syma x5c for a toy drone like this because after a few crashed you can just buy a new one. This drone is sitting right at the price point where you can go cheaper and lose some features like the auto landing and maybe better camera for maybe half the price. Or you can spend a bit more and get a brushless motor drone like a bugs 3 that's faster then this drone and better motors. No camera though and no auto landing or fancy app. It will run circles around this drone though. I got a bugs 3 for around $60 not long on Amazon.
Just checked the bugs 3 is on a lighting deal for same price.
Any sample video? The price seems like no brainer but than again I heard these things got super cheap recently so maybe $50 is reasonable price.. What else can we get for a bit more like $100? Are there ones that remember where to return if battery is running out like you make a landing spot to return if it goes too far? I heard some of these just go rogue once they exit reception zone, is this one of those? How about follow mode, can you mark something and make them follow?

This one says "Charging Time: about 120 mins" how long flight/record time do you get with full charge? *found it, 15 minutes of flying time.. is this normal?

Found some footage on youtube, it's like VGA camera, not 2.7K.. the resolution of the video maybe 2.7k but the sensor is definitely like wide-VGA or something, it's pretty low res, soft and wobbly/shaky. I guess it's good if you want to check out your roof without going on the roof or if you just want to see something over a wall or traffic or just random curiousness but it's definitely not an action cam or something you can use to produce high quality video. It's like a toy, that could be a test run to see if you really need $600+ drone.

Funny I just got a chance to try it today. I experienced the same thing someone else here mentioned where the drone would not rise straight up. It always drifted backwards so I had to constantly compensate. I was trying to get my camera to pan down to the ground and in that time when I was looking at the camera view on my phone the damn thing drifted into an oak tree. And there it remains 80 feet high. I could not even try to force it out of the branches because every time I turned the propellers on they would shut down probably because one or more were obstructed by branches.

I was going to leave a review on Amazon about how it drifts backwards and Amazon will not allow reviews to be left for this product.

Needless to say, I will never buy a Sanrock drone again. $50 lesson learned. Thank god I didn't spend more than that.

Dont send it back yet. Give it a week. Read and re-read the manual (they are not native English speakers). Test in an open field for better landing. Fly with little to no wind (best here first thing in the morning). Be sure to set the trim. Mine does everything it says it will do. U have to remember it doesn't have GPS so u have to compare to drone without GPS. For $50, it isn't bad.

Was there wind? I would practice without wind (after having a neighbor's kid fetch it down out of the tree). Mine struggled against the wind so I switched it to high gear. (See #9 on page 3 of manual). I also set the trimmer (#3 on page 3. See page 8 for instructions)

If u first learn in no wind (it doesn't have GPS) in a field, u will appreciate it.

It's a common tactic to sell other less expensive items on Amazon, include a card to beg people to leave a good review in exchange for free items, and then change the original item to a more expensive one. They likely did this to boost their ratings on the more expensive drone. The Amazon rating system is rigged. I got banned from leaving reviews, the last review I left was simply a review of light rated at X Watts, I posted the actual amount of Watts it drew using my power meter to show they are lying, and was likely flagged and banned by the seller. Amazon hasn't responded to any of my customer service requests to why I was banned.

The drone is pretty crappy, but it was a gamble at $50.

Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the suggestion. Just tried this, and still no luck. LMK if anyone has any luck with this, but I'm not getting my hopes up...
I originally had problem connecting to the drone too. As suggested by previous poster, turning off mobile data worked for me. I have Pixel 2.

I need to replace one of the propellers. The screw that attaches goes in from the side and not the top of the propeller like it is shown in the manual. I'm having difficulty lining up the screw to the metal post. There is too much play in the post so whenever I insert the propeller onto the post and push down, the post also goes down a bit and the holes on the post and the propeller will not line up. This must be an old design and they have improved it by having the screw placement on the top (as shown in the manual). Anyone else has this problem? Any solutions? Thanks!

What is a good drone for half the price. I looked into the Syma X5C but it seems to be around this price or more.
It looks like the Syma has gone up in price which make this drone and the Bugs 3 a better value.
I have bought the Syma for around $23 or less even for less then $15 once when a deal was posted here. Two of them did not work out of the box but at that price they can be used for parts which you will eventually need.

Here is one being sold for around $30 shipped.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/SYMA-X5S...1196.m2219

I personally would buy this instead:
https://www.amazon.com/Powerful-B...ics&sr=1-2

For $20 more you get a better drone with brushless motors, much faster and better batteries. Those brushless motors really make a difference. Its going to be a harder to fly for a begginer then a Syma simply because it moves faster even in low speeds.

Same problem. But I am able to line up using a small pin inserted first and line up the hole and tighten the screw.

Amazon is screwing up, when I go to my orders page and cllick on this drone, some other more expensive sanrock drone pops up. I cannot find the ad for the drone we purchased. Anyone else have this issue? It was working fine earlier today.

There is a good review in that ad that had some helpful tips on what to turn on in what order that the manual goofed up or is not clear on.

edit: This drone has disappeared from Amazon. Click on the OP link, wrong more expensive drone with tons more features. Do a search for Sanrock X103W, nada. WTF is going on?

Yeah, you are right. It's going to expensive higher model. And when we search with x103 model, it's currently unavailable Frown. I am not satisfied with this model. Every time, I fly, I need to go and bring it by walk. Hahah

That's what I ended up doing too, a paperclip worked for me. Thanks for your reply!

Do you work for the company or something? I got mine yesterday and I am definitely returning this. I think I am expecting too much from this cheaply made garbage drone.

I have some experience flying drones and this shouldn't be hard, but not with this thing. It doesn't stay steady at all. Kept on leaning towards one side when there is no wind at all. even in my house. I've tried to find a solution, but well I had no luck.

Just another Chinese manufactured wanna be DJI Mini, like other Chinese made really cheap 4k action cams copying GoPro.

Resent the implication. Live in U.S. I have also never had trouble with Harbor Freight tools.

I have no experience with drones. (Bought a Syma helicopter a number of years back on a SlickDeal) Simply watched YouTube vids. on similar cheap drones. And read the manual. I used the trim button to solve the drift problem u describe. Took about a week for me to get used to it. Went to a field and it made all the difference.

Using in the home? Believe (YouTube video maybe?) the walls and electronics may interfere with controller.

Brah, Please stop trying to educate me. Your case is different than mine. You might've gotten a unit that didn't have any problem. Like I said, their QC process was awful, or probably not even exist, so I got a bad unit. defective. So I said I am returning it. and Have you been to my house? please do not assume other common cases to a specific unit when we are talking in my particular bad case.

You are just speaking in General which can't be applied to some people who posted complaints about this product. Or it might be there are more defective units than the unit with no problem just like yours.

I've been there and done that watching YouTubes and etc. and I've had no issues with DJI Mavic Air which I've had it for a year. You are not providing me what's really wrong with the unit but just telling me a general solution that anybody can say. Read the manual and Watch Youtube then Learn!
ROFLCOPTER!! Thanks for the Big Help. Well I am still returning it.

U might want to review my comment. I don't believe I assumed anything. U replied to me. If I didn't want to be educated, maybe u could've declined to comment. U even followed up with another comment.
If u don't want replies, maybe u should not reply. Simple. 🤷
If u look at my earlier comments to others, I point directly to the trimmer section of the manual.
Agreed. I am not familiar with your home. I shouldn't "assume" u have electronics or walls in your home (guess u were right I assumed u might have those modern conveniences).

Edit: The Mini2 costs $450 and has GPS ( it virtually flies itself). This thing costs $50 and doesn't have GPS. U are not comparing Apples to Oranges; U are comparing Apples to Orangutans. 🤦 The YouTube videos help to explain that one should moderate ones expectations.
I have no dog in this fight. It matters not whether u return your unit. If my comments help, then good. If not helpful to U, U could've simply moved along to the next. U could've even rated it as "unhelpful".
