Just got an email with current in-store promos that are starting tomorrow 4/2/21 and the EX4S is AGAIN on sale for $799.99!!! BTW it's also has a $200 discount online but it is priced higher online vs, in store.
In my opinion, this is a GREAT bang for the buck as the bike is great and it comes with 1yr. membership. I have been totally happy with ours.

What return policy for Costco would this bike fall under? 90 days for electronics or a year for general merchandise?

Thanks, OP! I picked one up today for $799 + tax. I guess the sale price was one day early.

Echelon EX4S has a heavier flywheel which is on the back and open/exposed (vs front and covered/enclosed on Sport).
EX4S has dual bottle holder, only a single one on Sport. There is weights holder on EX4S but none on Sport.
Of course, EX4S has a screen vs no screen on walmart model. Screen could be a good thing when/if used with Echelon app, otherwise it only good to show stats.
Need different device (phone/tablet/TV) to use Peloton, iFit or other source for classes.
And finally, EX4S costs $300 more even when on this great sale, although a subscription is included.
Costco does provide good return policy if needed. Walmart gives 90 days return window, I believe.
Ride quality and comfort are similar between these two, it appears.
Both have magnetic resistance, both are operated manually via a knob. But it's digital on EX4S (requires power to be on) whereas it's mechanical on Sport.
Sport plugs in for Bluetooth only.

See YouTube reviews for side-by-side comparison. Suggest searching for TailHappyTV channel, he reviews a lot of fitness bikes.
Either one would be a good machine if used regularly. Good luck!

I have both bikes and they are both great. With that being said, the EX4S represents a better deal to me. I use the Echelon app and the 1 year United membership included with the EX4S represents a pretty substantial financial bonus to offset the purchase price. If you aren't sold on the EchelonFit app, there are other options like using the Peloton app instead and then the savings are watered down because Peloton is only $13/month. In the end, it's personal preference on the apps and whether you want to have to use 1 or 2 devices.

Someone has already laid out some of the differences and I think they did a decent job of summarizing things. There is one BIG difference between the EX4S and the Sport Connect and that is the resistance levels AREN'T comparable. The EX4S provides more resistance especially at the higher ratings. I haven't compared recently but when I did I believe it was probably a difference of around 5 on the 1-32 scale. In other words, riding the SC at 32 was comparable to riding the EX4S at 26 or 27 level. That may not mean much to a lot of riders but as you gain strength and/or you are a stronger rider the SC might end up limiting your performance.

Again, I think that they are both great bikes and either would serve most folks fine for their home gyms.

I bought this model from Costco in December for regular price ($999). It's in our bedroom and gets used a fair bit. Wife and I both enjoy the workout videos, though we do feel the screen size is rather too small. Once the included 1 yr membership expires, my plan is to dump Echelon's subscription and use this with Apple Fitness+. I simply can't see myself paying $400/yr for bike exercise video subscription.

Has anyone compared the ex4s to the Schwinn ic4? I already watched the YouTube and that kinda helped but not enough to make a decision.

The Echelon Prime is not the same as the ex4s (ex4s is better) but this might give you a comparison between the Schwinn and an echelon. This guy has a lot of bike videos. Check him out.

if you use apple fitness is there a way to connect it to the echelon bike so you get accurate statistics like miles/calories/ etc...?

This deal is alive and rolling until the 30th of May.

Our EX4S is still humming right along in our workout room. Ours has seen fairly heavy use since we've owned it with 400+ rides equaling a few thousand miles. The bike has been rock solid for us.

Can you use this with the Peloton App by using the screen that's already on the bike? Or do you have to somehow connect a separate tablet?

Most important advantage of 4s, it's the cheapest smart bike with digital resistance that you can use with apps like Zwift, peloton digital and have auto resistance enabled via QZ App. Look Facebook here https://www.facebook.com/groups/1...?ref=share for instructions. I use mine with Zwift with auto resistance and it's great. Here is the YouTube video https://youtu.be/AnJ-sQzNUEs
In case someone asking if Walmart or Amazon echelon bikes support auto resistance… no they do not due to mechanical resistance bs digital on this 4s.
